Ironwood was exactly like the picture
I see these other reviews of people who said it wasn't like the picture but the ironwood I ordered was. 2 very nice peices, a little rough on the edges but that's fine

Great for knife scales!
Made a knife for father's day! These worked out wonderful for the scales! Nice product.

Definite NO MATCH on the "Book Matched" Snake Wood.
I got the "snakewood book-matched scales" for a special knife I had made earlier in the year.The scales that I received earlier today were attractive, but clad in some sort of hard, clear plastic-like material, and were nowhere near being "book matched". It will probably take half of forever to get the clear crap off these scales, and they are for sure not going to be suitable to go on my small Damascus skinning blade.

Good product from honest sellers
It took a while for the wood to arrive, it got back ordered but it worked up beautifully! I was slow to put this project together and, honestly, I've forgotten what kind of wood it was! Any chance the seller could help me remember?

Great, but not perfect
Arrived on time and in great condition. Sanded and cut really easy, and made beautiful handles for a gift knife. The only downside is they only matched on the surface. After sanding and shaping, the two pieces are several shades of red apart, and the grains are wildly different. If you need near-perfect matched pieces, you might not get that. But, if you just need two pieces of good looking, easy working wood, then these are fantastic.

Terrible bookmatching job.
3 out of 5 "bookmatched" sets I've ordered from this manufacturer aren't even close to bookmatched, but not worth the trouble to send back. One of the more expensive "exotic wood" 35 dollar sets had absolutely no figuring, not to mention any burl at all. Very disappointed.

Very workable and holds up great!
Spot on, had no issues with this order and my knife turned out great. I have had the scales on my knife for a couple months now and they have held up well (I use my knife daily).
