Bought this for my younger sister, who is very interested in fish. Book was in great condition - great low price and fast shipping from the UK.

the subject matters are short (1 to 2 pages max) and simple as they are written for kids. I'd recommend that for kids around 10, but the truth is as an adult, I learned many things myself.

A must read for kids who always have a lot of questions!

We bought it for our eldest daughter, but flicking through before we gave it to her I became engrossed - what great questions children come up with ( some of them made me laugh out loud - why do butterflies fly like they don't know where they're going?). Equally fascinating is how they're answered and who they're answered by. I love that Quentin Blake was sought to answer the question "Why are Quentin Blake's drawings so messy?"Luckily dd loves it too - has happily taken it to read in bed...

I bought this for a reluctant reader, who loves science. He read us random questions and answers over Christmas brunch - lots of fun, plenty of laughter. My only reservation is that it was presented as more scientific, when many answers were written by journalists and other non-scientists.
