MEAN WELL LPV-20-12 AC to DC Power Supply, Enclosed LED Single Output, 12V, 1.67 Amp, 20W, 1.5" - 2102596

I used a pair of these power supplies to power a strip of LED lights mounted under my cabinets. There were already wires coming out of the wall, so all I needed was a way to go from 120VAC to 12VDC, and this fit the bill. I've used Mean Well power supplies many times in the past and have come to trust their reputation for good quality, reliable power supplies. This one is no different.My setup was to take the 120VAC from the wall, put it into a junction box to make the connection to the AC input of the Mean Well, then send the 12VDC to the LED strips.This 20W model is thin enough that it mounts perfectly under my cabinets and cannot be seen at eye level. It also has two mounting holes on it that allow you to screw it to just about anything. It doesn't get hot in use, nor does it make noise.If I do another project like this, I will definitely be looking at Mean Well.

This power supply is great for strip LED lights that you want to turn on without noticeable delay. The fast setup time (<=500ms) means the lights come on very quickly after flipping the switch; no annoying lag.
