Brower MJ9 8-Hole Galvanized Mason Jar Feeder for Chicks and Small Birds

Works very well for my day old to 3 week old chicks. The little holes are perfect for their tiny beaks. I am putting crumbles in it. I can see that it will not be sufficient when they get a little older. The mason jar only sits there and doesn't screw in but still works. I just hold the jar, once filed, to the feeder and flip. It is also nice because they do not tend to sit and sleep in it as with an open feeder.

Works just fine with my quart mason jar--now that the chicks are pullets, I've tucked this away until I raise more chicks. This time I raised 8 chicks and they did not knock it over or run out of food for the day. I can't speak to longevity, although no rust or corrosion yet.

The feeder is awesome, however the jar does not completely screw on to the base, so that's my only complain. I am using it as a skittle dispenser and is pretty cool.

I bought this and they shipped just a top. I returned it and requested a replacement, i received it last night...another top. What am i supposed to do with a round piece of metal with holes? I guess my bird seed will just pile on to the ground? Ridiculous.
