Unfortunately pictures don't tell the full story. The overall size is not efficient because the draining area is small and too shallow compared to the overall size of the drainer. The "nubs" that fit into the slots designed for telescoping the drainer pop out and are extremely hard to put back in the slots. Disappointed with this drainer.

The idea of this, LOVED however the function of it was not as smooth. It kept getting locked up and i wasn’t able to break it down for cleaning and storing purposes. It eventually broke after just a few uses.

Hope you can see in pics how the water gets trapped in the holes. Because of this, the water doesn’t drain enough. A pool of water forms at the bottom. I even try to blow on it to get water out of the holes but it doesn’t help.I bought this to rinse fruit, let water drain out & give the fruit time to dry. Only it wont dry since water doesn’t drain correctly.

Had it for a little over a month and it already broke. Can’t return or replace since we are 2 weeks past the return window. Very disappointing

I used this for the first time tonight and it works well. But be careful. bit as deep as other colanders where you can pour the water out at a good pace, but this is shallow and has curved edges so the water splashed up out of it and almost hit my foot with scalding water. . just pour slowly.

It's really just about the coolest colander you'll ever buy. I've used it for straining of course, drying cooking utensils while making big meals and washing grapes. it will continue to hover over the sink without actually touching the sink so you can have freshly washed produce sitting in there for grabbing. If there was a need for more of these, I'd own a dozen. Now, it's about as big as it looks, just right but not oversized so you'll get about the average box of spaghetti in it with a little extra room. Sorry, no pictures but it was exactly as pictured, and I got the green one :)

The slider knobs did not run smoothly in the slots, they get stuck easily. So as I was pulling it open the knobs on one side broke off. Also the sides move/slip around when propped on the sink, making it unsteady, they don't lay flush.I missed the return window by two days so I'll just be tossing it out.

Unfortunately, this strainer fills up with water faster than it empties it I lost some pasta pouring the water in fast because it overflowed. Not really worth the strainer if it doesn’t strain.
