Good book for learning how to design farm fencing solutions.
This book is a good overview and is definitely worth reading if you want to engineer a farm fencing solution. I do wish that an updated version was available. You must do a ton of research external to this book with regards to researching all of the manufacturer information and product information that is currently available. Sometimes the book was a little hard to read. I would have appreciated more graphics. The book contents made more sense the more I did external research looking at what manufacturers were recommending. I definitely found a lot of information in this book that is not available elsewhere. While I do wish there was an updated version of it, it is still worthwhile reading.

Small farm must have - fences are a necessity not an optional luxury
This is a pretty handy book to have around the farm. It has great information about all sorts of fences from livestock to a deer repellant type for your vegetable garden. There are very clear diagrams and sketches throughout to visually explain what a specific fence looks like and how to put it together. I especially like the fact that the book shows you how to measure properly and how to correctly wrap/attach different types of wire to different types of posts. There is a nice section on gates and how & why to build a particular design over another based on your needs.

The fencing bible
Bought this to help me build a high-tension horse fence in SW Washington. It was a tricky project as the ground was hilly and the soil difficult to work with in places. I would have been so incredibly lost without this book...!

Good Resource
I was new to goats and live in a high coyote area. I had never set up pasture fence before and had no idea how to go about it. I wanted to make sure I set up my pasture fence to keep the goats in and the coyotes out. This book gave me everything I needed to know to set the fence up properly, from what my options were, to what materials I would need, to what specialty tools I needed. I had an experienced neighbor there to help keep me on course, but I am confident, that without him, I still would have got it done with this book in hand... it just would have involved a few more rookie mistakes and a little more time.
