The ONLY Genuine Leather Case at a Low Price
I have looked all over Amazon trying to find a genuine leather case for my Paperwhite that doesn't cost $40. Now mind you if I had just bought the Amazon brand case the first time I would have actually saved money. I bought two other cases, both described as leather and one as genuine leather, and neither were leather. This one is.Why do I care? Vinyl is terrible for the environment and it wears out super fast. Leather uses a surplus commodity (cowhides are a byproduct of the meat industry) and it lasts forever. Genuine leather won't crack, split and fall apart, or de-laminate and blister.This case is solid and seems well made. A design feature that sets it apart is the way the Paperwhite slips down into the frame, rather than having corner elastics. This design may be more secure, but has the disadvantage of being heavier and bulkier.A few negatives about this case: it doesn't have a sleeve to slip your hand into for more comfy holding. The last time I looked it also only came in black. Come on, August Lion! You have a unique product here...how about making it in a few more colors? While you're at it, you could add an elastic sleeve for holding.

Well Priced Real Leather case but Awake/Sleep didn't work on my new Paperwhite.
Nice REAL leather case for the Kindle Paperwhite. Lightly padded, soft interior, easy to install & remove the Kindle. Weighs 4.25 oz. HOWEVER, the awake/sleep function did not work on my Paperwhite. I'm not sure whether this is a sample defect or a design defect.Very unfortunate as this is a VERY well-priced REAL leather case (no cheap "PU Leather" or "Bonded Leather"} with a pocket inside.Great buy if you don't care about sleep/awake, but having tried other cases with this feature, I am now spoiled.

Great quality
I just wanted a plain cover for my Kindle. This cover is the finest quality and the price was amazing. I give my Kindle a workout, taking it with me almost everywhere I go. The cover still looks like new. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants protection for their Kindle and nothing fancy.
