Be careful please PAID new. Arrived as open box
All the boxes were opened, Bosch sticker ripped meaning package wasn’t sealed. It’s suppose to be brand new, for all I know it could be refurbished and labeled as “new”.

Rotary hammer is good, but batteries...
As received, one of the batteries (12ah) was leaking blue battery acid. I don't know the temperature that these were warehoused, or for how long. It came with a (BIG) hard case instead of a bag. Other than that, as expected.

Great for ground rods!
The only reason why I decided to buy an SDS Max was to drive some ground rods into the ground. It drives 5/8in rods in un-rocky ground in less than a minute. Using a 8AH battery I was able to drive 3.5 rods before the battery died. I probably could've gotten more rods in if I didn't waste the battery on a failed attempt in rocky soil. So if you drive a lot of rods like I do this does great. However, I would recommend the GXS18V-17N17 starter pack so you get the turbo charger and the 12AH battery if you have a lot of rods to drive.

great tool, with one major problem
The tool works great. Good power, battery life, the case is nice to have and the batteries charge quickly. I have 8 of these bosch rotary hammers in various sizes and they are all nice except for 1 major defect.....the batteries are INSANELY hard to remove from the tools. When they are brand new its ok, you push down the button and with the other hand you need to push the battery off (unlike most batteries with side buttons and easy 1 handed removal, this is a 2 hand job) but when there is any dirt, or saw dust in the track and button release, it can range from difficult to almost impossible to remove the batteries.
