UPDATE: so as you will read below, the bird’s battery died. I had to make a small enough hole in the bird to replace the batteries because my son was so disappointed. Took out the voice box and inserted new LR44 batteries. I had tested to see if they had worked and it didn’t. After repeatedly clicking the box I got an electric shock & when I went to check the batteries they were burning hot!! I can only imagine if my son had attempted to squeeze the box inside the bird it could have caught on fire.The batteries were brand new - I tried multiple LR44’s after this happened (allowed the box time to cool each time). After the 4th time I was shocked again and the entire box rapidly became so hot I dropped it. I grabbed it and whipped it out into the snow before I decided to discard it to ensure it wouldn’t start a fire in the trash.The only pro: this bird is super cute and very soft. My son is a major animal lover so this was a must purchase for him. He was all the more elated that the bird can chirp, however, after three days, the chirping stopped (dead battery I suppose). Like most toys, you would think a product with a battery would have a means of replacing the battery when it inevitably gives out (also, why give out after three days?) the bird does not have any compartment to get that voice box.A Tickle Me Elmo costs more than this & still has a compartment for replacing the battery. My son is 9 and purchased this with money he earned doing chores. He is disappointed that he cannot replace the battery.

This little guy is adorable. My son's last name starts with a B, so he called this birdie "Cardi B". He chirps a realistic and lovely song... For the first week. Now he doesn't sing anymore and my son is devastated. My bird-obsessed kid has 6 of these birds now. They all seem to have this issue at varying intervals of their life. It's sad because they're such neat little things.

We bought this stuffed cardinal for our 2 years old son. It is one we often see around the yard. We all love it.- Great quality: nice details and solid. The little one dropped it a few times and it still works- The sound is very similar to the real one- Just the perfect size (not to big, not to small)- Batterie is long lasting; sound is being played many times.The only “downside” is regarding the battery. It does not seem to be a way to change it when it dies.Other than that, it is an amazing product and we really recommend it!

Bought this for my grandson for his birthday, bought Sept 27th his birthday was Oct 29th. Bird was chirping fine when it arrived, I put it away for 2 months until the big day, he opens it and it won't chirp, he never even got to hear it. Too bad, really nice little birdie. It's well beyond the return window so we have to keep it. Seller was great, fast ship, item exactly as described this is a manufacturer issue.

Although the product was a bit smaller then I had imagined, my son, the avid bird lover, was delighted to open it Christmas morning. It is well made and the material is very soft. I also really appreciate that the bird sound is very life like while not being annoyingly loud. Very timely shipping at an unbeatable price! Will definitely be ordering more in the future.
