Fairly solid piece of kit and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Paired with some Sony XM4's producing a superior headset using stuff lying around. The later ate was a turtle beach that would have cost around £20-30 with none of the anc and all round crispness the Sony's confer (nor as comfortable wearing glasses). Sounds great, easy to use - knocked a star off cos the nuff keeps coming off the mic boom and getting lost in the sofa cushions. Otherwise - great

** 3 Month update - The cabling in the mic broke and people can only hear me intermittently if I move the mic in to a certain position. Going to try for a replacement now. ** Have been offered a full refund within 24hrs so will be buying another to see if it was just a one off or not. I use these with my Sony XM3s and modded Sennheiser wireless open back headphones and it's pretty good. The mic is very sensitive when plugged in to the laptop jack but I used the splitter with a cheapo £5 USB sound card and and can set the level to 100 in Windows no problem, there's also less noise than the inbuilt laptop port. I use it for calls for work on VoIP for hours every day and people can hear me great. There's also not too much background noise once you sort out the levels and have the mic close to your mouth.

This has been fantastic using my noise cancelling headphones on my Xbox for voice chat as well has been brilliant, now I can exclaim at the cheating scum on COD.

The microphone did not work properly. Sounded like a robot. They where used on Sony XM4's.

Using Sony MDR-100X headphones and the cable functions as both an audio and microphone cable without needing to use the included split adapter. Downside is that I can hear a hiss in the headphones that is always present when the cable is plugged in.

Nice looking microphone however i have not been able to get it to work with my soney headphones so it looks like i wasted my money

I bought this mic for my Sony wh-1000xm4, it didn't work directly to my laptop, which is kinda weird, I had to use a small dock station connected my laptop through type c, and it worked perfectly. Overall I'm happy with this product, I will be more happier if it worked to my laptop without dock station.

I have multiple Bluetooth headsets with mics that I've been trying to use with a PS5. The PS5 doesn't let you use Bluetooth, so you have to use a wire connected to the controller. All of my headsets disconnect the mic when you use a wire (fine print all say 'Wired listening' which I hadn't noticed before). When you connect the headset to the PS5 controller, it uses the controller mic, which pics up the sound of every button press, stick movement etc, and is very annoying for other people you're playing with. I tried some other splitter cables so I could connect a different lapel mic. It works, but there's wires everywhere. This boom mic works perfectly. Connects right to the headset, and you only have the one wire from the controller.

deze mic werkt erg goed ik heb altijd sony headset gehad maar daar zit geen mic bij was toen over gegaan naar gaming headset het geluid daarvan is slecht dus zocht ik naar alternatieve oplossingen en kwam ik uit bij deze mic geluid kwaliteit echt goed

Excellent cable and microphone. There is no stupid volume control that might fail and alter sound quality which I like a lot. The microphone quality is good, it does not pick up too much noise, and it doesn't sound like you are talking from inside a box either, so it is well balanced imo. The plug which goes into the headphones is 3.5 mm. It fits my V-moda crossfade M-100 headphones after cutting away around 2 mm of plastic from the plug with a box cutter knife, which took 1 minute to do. I like this one more than the V-moda boom pro mic which I have had before. Highly recommend.

Geniales y calidad excelente. Conectados al mando de Stadia y a unos Philips Fidelio XR2. Micrófono superior a los de mis antiguos hyperx Alpha. Por sacarle alguna pega, diría que para mí uso, conectado a la clavija trrs del mando, el cable es un pelín largo...pero si juegas en PC, que normalmente la clavija está más alejada, perfecto. Por otro lado, solamente comentar que la combinación mando Stadia y Philips Fidelio XR2 no es buena.. El auricular necesita mucha más amplificación para poder moverse correctamente que la que puede proporciona el mando... Pero esto ya sería otro tema...
