Best mini pump for the money? Possibly. Size Large.
First off i will admit this is my first mini pump. Years ago when i used to ride i used one of those long frame pumps with the hose. Got a tire up to pressure in absolutely no time with ease of effort. This is a first hand review, will post an update after actually using it along with a puncture. Reason for buying this pump were all the raving reviews online. After a short ride last week ended with a gashed tire and flat tube i had to ride 5 miles back on a friends bike with no shoes (did wonders to the bottom of my feet). After that i said no more and bought a patch kit, spare tube and this beautiful pump. After receiving it in the mail with excitement i got the box thinking it was empty. This thing weighs absolutely nothing. 106 grams is pretty much the weight of your average tube. The size medium weighs 10 grams less. You get an extra 2.5 in of pump going from the medium to a large. Unless your carrying this in your jersey or back pocket then go for the large. The extra pump stroke will make it that much easier. My first try i attached it using the slip connection to the presta valve (useful if you have removable cores that aren't tight). Then attached it with the screw on side and it wonderful knowing you're not attached directly to the stem.I measured the psi of my front tire before inflation and was at 85psi. Attached the pump and maybe pumped it up 10-20 times (wasn't sure wasn't counting couldnt be more then a minute) and was up to 102 psi with quite easy effort (im 5'8 145lbs typical cyclist weight and found it fairly easy). For my weight 100psi is more then enough to finish my trip, 90 psi would be enough to get me home. I am truly surprised at how smooth and effective the pump is. Sure the last 15-20psi are going to be tough but this pump is a breeze. Could you go up to 160psi as advertised? Probably if you had some time and massive arms. I found it quite easy and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a mini pump (although its almost the size in length as a frame pump.Pros:-Easy to use-Lightweight and aluminium should last a very long time (Lezyne does sell rebuild kits)-Has a thread on and slip on hose-A lot less flex at the stem using a hose-Decent price on amazon compared to MSRP.Cons:-A bit on the expensive side compared to other plastic mini pumps-Only use for presta. Im sure a hose can be bought to do both but as all new road bikes are presta im not worried.Any comments or questions feel free to ask.Update: After buying some spare tubes for my new Madone they came as removable cores. I used the threaded part of the ABS hose and it didn't loosen the valves after i checked there tightness. I did use the slip fit on the new tubes and it works absolutely beautiful. No chance to ever unscrew the valve.Update: So finally after however long ive owned this i got to use it on the road with a flat. Had no problem pumping it up to pressure. The screw on hose worked great, i make sure to tighten up my tubes with removable valves before i put em in the bike. Got up to pressure with no effort, i got home and checked the pressure i actually got it to 108psi without breaking a sweat. Great pump. Make sure to use the full length of the pump pump it all the way out and all the way in works best this way.

Shipping packaging was poorly done and pump got scuffed up.
I know quite a bit about Lezyne pumps, and this pump is great. I used it today just to see how well it would work and it was great. It got me up to 90 psi with my old spindly arms. The Lezyne Road Drive large size is the best mini pump you can buy if you have high-pressure road tires. The large size is 11 inches long, so it is longer than a standard mini pump, but if you're tired of using mini pumps where you have to put in a 300 or more strokes and feel like you're going to blow a muscle when the pressure gets past 60 then this is the pump to use. So 5 stars for the pump.Operational note: The way you use this pump is that after you have removed the hose from the pump, you screw that onto the Presta valve FIRST, then once that is securely on, you screw the pump onto the hose. To remove the pump you simply reverse the procedure, remove the pump first, the remove the hose from the Presta valve being careful not to touch the little small black button near the base of the hose, doing so will release air out of the tire.My only complaint was the company that shipped it put it in very skimpy plastic bag that ended up putting scuff marks on my pump. One of the 1-star reviews complained about the plastic threads stripping...that comment is just plain nuts, there are no plastic threads anywhere on that pump, they are all made of some sort of steel probably aluminum.Other complaints were about unscrewing the valve core when removing the pump. I have 3 of these Lezyne pumps, and none of them have ever unscrewed a core in the 10 years I've owned them. Lezyne does provide a core tool on the end of the hose that comes out on newer pumps, so you can remove a core or tighten a core as might be necessary for a tubeless tire. But I've used this type of screw-on and off Lezyne pumps a lot, and I just don't understand how a few people are unscrewing their cores, most people are not unscrewing them, it's just a few.Another complaint read that his pump would not pump the Schrader valve, he tried both ends, then claimed the pump said it could...no it does not say that, in fact, it says quite clearly on the package that the Lezyne Road Drive only works with Presta valves.Another complaint was the velcro strap that holds the pump to the pump mount is fragile and broke after 2 years, well my one pump that is 11 years old the strap is still good, no fraying, nothing, so he's obviously has been very rough with the strap.Another complaint said it took too many strokes, geez, it's a freaking mini pump, not a floor pump! The large size Lezyne Road Drive will take about 180 pumps to get to 90 with some difficulty, and the medium size one takes about 290 with a great deal of difficulty, I doubt the small one will get there. This compares to the Topeak RaceRocket HP that I also own, this is their longest pump, it takes 275 strokes to get it to 90 with a great deal of difficulty. I've had a slew of other mini pumps that I had to send back because none of them would even get to 60 psi!The last complaint was about leaking air, there are only three ways the pump will leak air, either you didn't screw the hose on tightly to the Presta valve, or didn't screw it on tightly to the pump itself, or your finger is accidentally hitting the small black button on the hose that is designed to let the air out so you can adjust the PSI if you over inflate it.

Nice solid pump with manageable effort at high pressure.
Nice pump, solid build, pricey. This is for the medium, so adjust the number of pumps accordingly. The tube is nice, would recommend putting it on the valve first if screwing it on. As noted, Presta only... only used the screws on and it works great. Plan to use mostly to start tubes with air to fit on wheel before I use a cartridge. For a road bike the effort was manageable but it took 300 pumps to get a 28c tire to 90 psi.150 pump = 60 PSI (and easy, took <90 sec)250 pump = 80 PSI300 pump = 90 PSIAs others have noted though the effort is very reasonable up to 80 and wasn’t really working *that* hard. Most everyone should be able to get a tire up to a point that not only can get you home but that can finish your ride. As others note, the rubber gasket for the pump when closed gets out of place. It doesn’t affect function, just for that cost has no excuse. I guess maybe glue it?

The Best Pump for Roadies
This is a great pump. Recently on a road bike ride. I had a flat. I was able to pump up my high pressure tire in no time. little effort and able to get to level very rideable. almost to 100 psi perhaps. but tire was very hard and didnt have to twist my arm off doing that. i recommend this brand of pump

Comes with attachment for bottle cage
Fits to the bike as expected. Still to use it to inflate tyre after puncture on the road.

Pompa portatile ben fatto e funzionale
