How much does it weigh

Hi, its light but sturdy. I love it, saves so much space when drying or hanging your clothes. Fits right over a door and you can hang alot of clothes. Hope this helps..

How wide is the part that goes over the door? My door is 1.5 inches thick. Will the hook fit?

This over the door valet should fit all standard doors, and should fit your 1.5 inches thick door too.

I need this for my laundry room, can I hang this on the door and open it with the rack having clothes on it?

My door opens with clothes hanging from it, though on some of my doors it is a bit of a tight squeeze against the upper door jamb. The amount of opening would depend on the clearance between your door at the full open position and the nearest intervening wall. It does extend a full 11” from the door surface when deployed.

Does it require any tools to assemble? I need it to bring along to a hotel and was hoping to pack it I unassembled in my suitcase.

So convenient for small apartments!!!

I used to line dry my clothes by hanging them on the molding above the door. The clothes would block the doorway so it such an inconvenience and pain. These drying racks are wonderful!!! Soo easy to put together. The buttons go right into the hole and it’s done. It expands so it can fit smaller closet doors or standard doors. I plan on taking it off the door in between washes and just it on the washer. Woud highly recommend this for anyone who line dries clothing and doesn’t have the space to hang them in your home.
