They're both great for smoothing hair. The Phyto 9 (blue tube) has more oil.

Hello, PHYTO 7 Daily Hydrating Botanical Cream with 7 plant extract is a styling product. Moisturizes and protects. Prevents split ends. Boost shine and soften strands as they reduce frizz and protect. May be used daily.

Does this really replace after-shampoo hair conditioner? Or more of an extra?

This is an extra, you should still use your conditioner. Note that Phyto 7 can be used with dry hair too, so you could even use it the days you are not washing your hair.
