My kids love this handheld, portable abacus
I've owned multiple abacuses, but they were all large and fairly heavy. I wanted one that was small, lightweight and more portable, while still being sturdy enough to handle a toddler using it part-time as a toy. This fits the bill. It's held up to fairly heavy use for months, and it's still in great condition. I like that this can be used standing up or laying down, because the plastic feet are removable. The one downside? It does fall over rather easily. But we just use it laying down if a younger kid is using it. Great little tool for teaching and practicing math without having hundreds of little math manipulatives all over.

Great for practicing ten facts!
Purchased this to reinforce 2nd grade math at home, and it really helped visualize the ten facts and counting by 5s and 10s. It's the perfect size to store away but big enough to get hands on when actively learning.

Teaching Staple
This is a staple for teaching my math small groups. The size is not too small or too large (can handle easily) The quality is amazing and the product is sturdy. It stands well on its own. I have found it extremely useful for teaching all my elementary aged students. From teaching multiplicative strategies like arrays to addition and subtraction within 10 (or even structuring). I wish I had gotten this sooner.

Good quality
Did exactly what it was supposed to! Helped my children learn math in a different form. Seems to be good quality and it functions well for our needs. Seems to be durable enough to be around when my last kid needs it. Good quality for the money!

Birthday Present Touchdown!!! ๐๐
I just gave this to my son for his 7th birthday; at first he was completely uninterested (if not disappointed). Once I showed him how it works, he LOVES it!!! I told him, "it's like having a calculator to make your math homework WAY easier and faster... except you actually learn". At first I was looking for a much larger abacus... and some of those had a really helpful little shelf and little cards with numbers and equations on them so that you can have the problem right in front of you. However, all of those had VERY brightly colored (and some even different shaped) beads. We're fairly sure my kiddo has pretty severe ADHD, so this product was a much better fit! It also arrived on time and nicely packaged. I couldn't be happier with it!

it's decent
This product didn't blow me away or anything, but so far it seems to be what it claims. Build quality is fine, not stupendous but it doesn't seem like it will fall apart quickly. It's kind of midrange quality for cheap wooden toys made in China. There are plastic feet which are glued on. Although the design is fine (they fit over the end of the wood like a sleeve), the glue failed so I will have to reglue it, which will take some of my time. Everything functions as expected and none of the core components of the abacus have failed. The beads slide just fine and nothing is particularly wobbly or loose. If you're on the fence about buying this, I'd say just get it. At time of writing this, it costs about ten bucks. It's not heirloom quality but will probably last through multiple children.

Potential to be a gamechanger
One more tool for our homeschool lessons. My 6-yr-old didn't immediately take to it but is slowly finding it helpful.
