Come Fly With Me
"Bird Watching For Kids" was an incredible addition to our family library. My son and I were always wondering what that beautiful blue bird chirping in our backyard was, so we bought this book, and what'ya know, turned out to be a Blue Jay! Since then, we have built a DIY Birdhouse which has attracted birds of all different shapes and colors to our yard. We even learned how to carve a duck whistle out of some birch wood and my son and I go on long walks and toot our whistle and ducks follow us down to the river. The ducks then jump in the river, and we then play a different tune, and the ducks jump out of the river and follow up back to our house. One specific duck, we named him "Herman" - now lives in our house part time. My wife is very angry and upset, but the reality is, after a while, its difficult to tell the sounds of my wife yelling at me and the duck quacking for a meal. All in all, this book is an A+, but can raise some marital difficulties if you become so attached to birds like my son and I have that you ignore all other daily household chores and quite your job to follow around birds all day.

QR CODES DON'T WORK
I purchased this book for a fellow bird watcher, my seven year old grandson. I'm so disappointed because the QR Codes do not work. I wrote to the publisher and they said they are working on the issue. That was 10 days ago and they still don't work.

Got my daughter into birdwatching
This was the first of many bird watching related products we have bought, all thanks to this very interesting book. My then 4 year old daughter really liked it and years later we have many more bird watching books, many feeders, bird houses, etc all thanks to this book. We built bird houses from the plans in this book. Also have used this book to identify birds. I highly recommend.

HUGE bang for your buck!
I was amazed at the variety of topics discussed in this book. The QR codes embedded to hear the call of 20 birds was a great surprise. Charts to show which birds like to eat what is easy to follow and gets you excited to get out and explore. Even as an adult I found this book enjoyable.

This book was almost perfect for helping keep my daughter occupied during some recent unpredictable weather ... and a mourning dove pair nesting over our garage.I would have liked a little more picture-and-identification information and a little less "how to make your yard great for birds to visit" but this is a wonderful book with accurate information.

What a great book
I bought it as a gift for a 5 year old together with binoculars, as a bird watching kit.I was not even aware that the book has a bar-code that you can scan and listen to the sounds each of the birds make! The parents of the boy contacted me to thank me for such an educational and thoughtful present. Nailed it!

Great if you live in northern america
It would be more honest to write that down somewhere in the book description or the title.

Great book for kids interested in birds
This is a great book for parents to help kids learn to watch, identify and appreciate birds. It has a number of do it yourself projects that can be done by children with a little help from an adult. The QR codes are great for listen to the bird calls. There is a log where a child can record the spotting of various birds. The art work is good. Definitely an excellent for a young field naturalist.Great book for
