Can this be used for 24" tin ceiling tiles?

Yes! We used this for our American Tin Ceiling projects - it works great!

can you replace the blade once it gets dull?

Seems to be built as a self-sharpening system, meaning during every complete motion, it feels as if it may be self sharpening. I could be wrong, yet its mechanics and the physics of it definitely feels that way.

Is the blade self sharpening ?

I'm not sure but we've never had to sharpen the blade since we've owned it. Hope that helps.

Is the wooden grid painted on or are the lines cut into the wood? I can't tell from the pictures.

This has a silk screened grid painted on the wood. It will not rub off.
