The game's open world is a recycled version of the Afghanistan map from The Phantom Pain, only blanketed in a thick fog and stripped of interesting landmarks. The game's resource-gathering and zombie-slaying action takes place in The Dust, a dangerous, unmappable zone where the best crafting materials are found. The game's exploration and resource gathering routine is dictated by health, hunger, and thirst, and the other two are an ever-present doomsday clock, constantly counting down to your demise. The game's gameplay is stiff, repetitive, and unforgiving, and it's emotionally and mentally exhausting. The game's survival systems are unrelenting, making the overall experience feel like a chore. The game's crafting and building involve navigating a litany of menus, and the game doesn't make an effort to show you what's relevant and why. The game's base-building is perhaps the most rewarding part of the game, but it barely explains mechanics such as resource sharing and creating exploration teams. Despite its flaws, Metal Gear Survive can be a fun game if you're willing to power through many hours of initial tedium. The game's mishmash of ideas and the repetitive, yet comforting loop of resource-gathering and base-building can be enjoyable. Journeying into The Dust to find resources and survivors is a legitimately tense experience. Overall, Metal Gear Survive is a game that takes chances and has some innovative mechanics, but it falls short in execution. The game's strengths include its tense exploration and resource gathering, and its base-building mechanics. However, the game's weaknesses include its subpar story, recycled open world, and unforgiving survival systems.

El juego es entretenido pero no está a la altura del mgv. Aún así te hará pasar unas buenas horas de diversión. Falta la mano de Kojima y se nota mucho.
