Very happy with this monitor
As someone who suffers from white coat syndrom (blood pressure flies up when I get it taken at the doctors) and have an annual 24 hour monitoring - this was the suggested solution by my doctor as an alternative and it is working well. Easy to use and connects easily with my phone and keeps record of the data. Good brand name which was recommended by my doctor. Will actually save me money as the annual monoring cost the same as the unit.

utter disappointment
Purchased the more expensive device MIT5s connect as it offered to come with extras like app and exporting the data. I do like the monitor and functionality but it was no where mentioned that the extras come with the requirement to sign up for monthly payments for its usage.I purchased the monitor in January on Amazon and only just started to use it. Unfortunately stopped working already after approx 5 weeks of use of 1x per day in the evenings, full batteries and keeps coming uo with E2, E4 and no propper pumpo functionality anymore.

very poorly designed product - data transfer is not reliable
I bought this product so I could record my BP each day and then send the results to my doctor at the end of the month by email. Unfortunately, the blue-tooth implementation is a dog's dinner! It just doesn't work reliably so the 'connect' part of the product is a waste of time. I am using an Android phone (Galaxy S8, Android v8.0.0) and spent an hour with technical support trying to get it working initially. Eventually we succeeded, but a week later the transfer of data stopped working. The Omron device and the app on my phone managed to connect at data link layer (see Devices, last sync time), but something wasn't working in the higher level layers. Therefore no data was transferred. I couldn't be bothered deleting the BT connection and starting again as I have no doubt that this is a reoccurring problem caused by buggy software. Why is Omron putting this rubbish on the market? The MIT5s seems to work fine in terms of measuring BP (though I haven't checked its readings against another device), but if you are looking for a machine that will also transfer your data to an App then don't waste your money. Just buy the simple BP device, write down the results on paper and then transcribe them into an email - that's what I do.Further post. Omron have just released v4.3.0 of their Android App which seems to have addressed the connectivity problem. However, for some reason you cannot send an email with your BP data file as an attachment. If you remove the attachment the email is sent. If you keep the attachment it isn't. Possibly this is a security problem such that the file is not written to a folder that the email client can access. Whatever, it just doesn't work. Therefore my previous comments about the 'connect' part of the product being a waste of money still stands.

Brilliant
I recently had a review with my GP to find that my BP was high and was commenced on medication. I purchased this product and simply cannot describe how brilliant it is. I have all the data on an app and can also export all details to my computer, download and add to my medical records. It record individual reading; average daily reading and does for both blood pressure and pulse. It is easy to useful very simple and straight forward. You can record also time of taking medication; food intake; alcohol intake and exercise. For me seeing the recorded result makes me determined to take my health more seriouslyThis is one item that is without question extremely good value for money.

Don't update to newer app
Please read update at bottom and save yourself some time. This device records blood pressure and pulse. It will also detect arrhythmias. If you install the app on your phone you can keep a journal of recordings. However, I discovered that some of the readings were not showing up in the journal section. I contacted Omron and they replied; The readings measured in the morning and evening are displayed in My Journal if the readings were measured in the following period of time.Morning: 4:00 -11:59Evening: 19:00 - 1:59Why they would choose to exclude readings remains a mystery. Seems silly to me.Apart from that, the device works well and allows me to show my doc, via my phone app, that my readings at home are normal and not sky high, as they are when I'm in the surgery!UPDATE : An app update in 2021 has turned this into a terrible product. If you have the chance before making a purchase, check out the app reviews on Google play store. That should be enough to put you off. In addition, users of the product who have taken time to email or write to the company, have not been able to get a response. I suspect they are hoping users will subscribe to their new subscription service in order to gain support. I'll be looking elsewhere in future.
