Happy Hungry Baby Brown Straight Hair Doll, Makes 50+ Sounds & Phrases, Eats & Poops, Drinks & Wets, for Kids Age 3 & Up

This doll was a huge hit for my niece's birthday! It seems that many doll makers do not realize that African Americans come in varying complexions, which made it challenging finding a fairer-skinned Black baby doll (that isn't interracial looking due to very light eyes). I wanted a doll that resembled my niece's complexion at least somewhat, so she could see herself, finally in a doll. This doll (with black straight hair) looked as if she could pass for a fair skinned African-American, so I bought it. My niece absolutely adores her birthday baby, and her younger brother is happy being a wonderful uncle!! Poor baby doll was given diarrhea by an overzealous uncle during meal and snack times! Ha ha ha!🤣She talks, moans, and moves while eating like a real baby, pees, and poops. She says quite a bit, and the kids love it. I even snickered at this rascal.Her hair is styleable, moves a little (mainly while eating- slight rocking motion), and as my nephew says, " She is adorable!"The food is pricey! However, we do what we do for the kiddies we love. And, it's bought here and there when there are sales. Am curious about what others have said about the other foods not designed for the doll but don't want to chance it tearing up the doll or some type of food born bacteria. No doll probiotics for her! So, I tell the kids to give the doll's digestive system a break and feed her a liquid diet (water). 😆 She still pees, so all is well.The diapers, oddly, seem more budget friendly than the food. Good!!I gave my niece, Nyla, about 10ish months ago. She has other toys she enjoys too, so the doll is still in excellent condition. Batteries still work fine. I set the doll in "off" mode at times to save the battery, as the Twirpies won't do it😏.Now, to buy some clothes and SHOES, as her baby sis's newborn wears are not the great match I was hoping for.

birthday present.Have yet to open,that would be for my grandaughter. The presentation of the box is great, The doll is beautiful,able at this time to push her belly,which she talks and moves her mouth.Makes me laugh each time. Icannot wait for her to open so Ican play with her.

I bought this for my niece who just loves it. My brother told me it was the most played with of everything she got (score for this Aunt!). Seems to be working nicely. My brother says the doll says a lot of different things and you can even switch it between saying Mom or Dad!I appreciated the tips in the reviews that I could pass on to make it more affordable in the long run (premie or cloth diapers instead of the ones made specifically for the dolls; dollar store oatmeal mixed with food coloring instead of their “food packets”). I am so glad she has something she cherishes to help her remember her Aunt that lives far away!

I read a review where the doll stopped working after one use (twice) which is unfortunate. My daughter loves hers, bought in Dec 2019 as Christmas present and today replaced the batteries for the 2nd time and she no longer works. She hasn't played with her a ton and I truly believe it should last longer than a year. Paid 38-39 bucks when purchased, would NEVER pay over 50 like it is now. I'll be looking into it with Hasbro but I'm betting we are out of luck at this point. I just thought this brand would produce higher quality.When she works, she's really cute with the phrases and facial movements. You can choose English/Spanish and whether she addresses Daddy or Mommy. Feeding the 'food' can be messy. You need extra diapers and I've found the washable ones to be most cost effective, but you'll need to wash asap being that some of the food is green. The going to the bathroom process happens immediately after feeding! I also had to use tweezers to pull a bead out of her mouth because hey, 4 year olds will be 4 year olds.Again, I would not pay anything over what I originally paid, especially with such a short lifespan. My daughter was doing her version of CPR on her this afternoon to no avail (although cute to watch).
