QUIMICA ALEMANA Nail Hardener (protective barrier prevents chipping, peeling and splitting) - Size 0.47 Fl.oz

Back in October of last year (2022) I noticed something was wrong with my left thumbnail. It was catching on fabric and at first I kind of blew it off thinking the edge was a bit rough or something. Then I took a closer look and saw (to my abject horror) that it was, in fact, split down the middle. Being the gentleman of refined tastes that I am, I said to myself: "Obviously super glue is the answer" and headed out to the store. After a month or so of using super glue and several different combinations of the glue and medical tape, I discovered that perhaps DIYing it was NOT the answer. I consulted with Google and discovered nail hardener which eventually led me here to this product.Probably the super glue did not help at all and there is a pretty decent chance it made things worse, but I followed the instructions and applied it and in about a month or five weeks later I am happy to report that it did exactly what it said it would. It hardened/strengthened my nail so that the split that was making my life fairly miserable is now very nearly completely healed. It was also great to not have to tape over the nail at any point during the five weeks it took to fix. The hardener was like a shell that not only strengthened my nail, but also very nicely protected it from catching fabric and stuff. Which was a great bonus.

This product made such a difference in my nails. I could never grow my natural nail out without acrylic and this changed that for me. Highly recommend.

1 less star because of a strong toxic smell. But this thing really works! As with any care, though, consistency and compliance are the key!

This product has made my chipping, breaking nails stronger! Went to get a manicure after using this product for 2 weeks and the manicurist commented on how nice my nails looked and how strong they were!! Polish stays on longer too!!!
