This delightfully realistic floating koi lights up the second it touches water, glowing brilliantly in a rainbow of hues. Sure, koi toy is fun for the tub, but also great in punch bowls, fountains, Bird baths, and puddles. Genuine Fred plans to float a whole school in his pool the next time he has the neighbors over for Sushi and diet Coke.

Amazing Lifespan for a Fish (updated)
I bought this 5 years ago for my granddaughter... This little fish just keeps going. I would have expected the light to give out by now, but it's still going strong. It doesn't mold, and it looks just the same as it did when I opened it. Tub toys in general don't seem to last, but this little guy is a trooper, and ageless in terms of enjoyment. Can't ask for more...Update 2022 - This little guy finally gave out after NINE YEARS of use (granted not every day, but even sitting in a wet tub net counts as wear and tear for a battery operated tub toy)!! AMAZING. The granddaughter still loves him even though he doesn't light up anymore, but I'm buying another one (because siblings and cousins). ;)

Adorable realistic fish for our swimming pool!
When I first bought two of these fish I thought they swam in the water like robo fish they do not but I still am happy with them. They are more durable then robo fish my three year is rough and throws them hard even on pavement unlike other plastic battery toys they have not broken. In bright sunlight the changing colors are hard to see but at light dusk it looks beautiful. They are realistic and look real I put them in a swimming pool with magic beads and at first the neighbors thought they were real goldfish. They stay upright and don't fall over like cheaper rubber ducks we have had. I have had them for a few weeks and I have used them almost every day for a few hours and so far the battery is still working great. I plan on buying more of these again.

Kid Approved
I bought 4 Fred & Friends Koi Toys, one for each grandkid ages 6, 4, 13 mo and 6 mo. These fish are big and look like a real Koi. They are not made of hard plastic, more of a soft rubbery material. They float, lite up and the lite changes color in a sequence. The fish is all one unit, no batteries. In my judgement, this toy is safe and fun for babies too. The big kids loved them and played with them in the bathroom sink with the other little fishes they got. I do recommend and I can see myself buying more of these in the future.

Fun!
This toy I did have a little bit of a glue stench when we opened the box. I wasn't sure I would like it but it has been a huge hit at bath time! It has two little prongs that when made contact with water turn on the light inside the fish. So the fish automatically turns on when it's in contact with water. It has a rainbow light that changes colors automatically. It's built pretty well and it's quite realistic looking. I would definitely buy these for other kids in my family! It's a simple fun toy :-)Update: almost 2 years later we are still playing with this little fish. Periodically now. But it's still enjoyable. And the lights still work amazingly! There were quite a few times when someone other than myself didn't realize the fish would stay on if it was in contact with water and I would find it the next day still glowing on the side of the bathtub. So I am thoroughly convinced that the batteries that we had were quite good! Still no leakage. Everything has held together quite nicely. And we have given these for gifts.
