Love this no batteries required old school scale. Sturdy, accurate, cool looking.I finally bought this one after getting fed up with the digital scales that were forever having to be reset or change out batteries and were fussy about foot placement.Although it's built like a tank for everyday use, movers will find a way to break it. They cracked the display and put the whatever it is that does the measuring (spring?) slightly out of whack and it was off by 5 lbs. So, just don't drop kick it for fun and you'll be fine.

After a couple months the adhesive starts to unstick in the bottom right corner

my last scale was the first digital scale I've owned, and it sucked. changing batteries. LCD display wearing out. questionable readings +/- multiple pounds difference between readings at the same time with the same calibration.so back to analogue it was! this is the balance featured by hammer and schlemmer. if they've stamped it with a positive durability rating i'm willing to give it a try.i only have one gripe. unfortunately, given the purpose of a scale... to be read... it's a pretty big one. i can't read the bleeding needle while standing up. the silver on white is basically invisible while the shadow it casts is bright and clear.

The scale is easy to read and we are pleased.
