este lente es muy bueno, robusto, con materiales de primera, es aún mejor que el de Sony.

I did a test today using it on my Sony A7iii. If you did your research and read reviews and watched some videos on Youtube, this lens functions as reported. It focuses fairly fast and the images look sharp. I bought this primarily for video b roll and interviews and am very pleased with the performance. The video test was done in slog 2 and color graded in Premiere. To me, it looks as good as a sigma art 85mm. Be warned; it doesn't have an af/mf switch. It is fairly small for an 85mm, but sturdy.

After only 9 months if average use of my Viltrox 85mm lens, it stop working.I have used this lens on a few shoots, however, the last shoot I used it on, it stopped working. There is a noise when you attach the lens to the Sony and it sounds as if the motor is gone.Was happy with the image quality and performance up till now.Really disappointed !

The biggest gripe I have so far is the auto focus. My Sony AIV has eye tracking for both humans and animals and it keeps on tracking the nose of my dog hence it makes the eyes look more soft. I’ve tried to recover it from post but the photo I uploaded is the best the it can do. There is also a bad fringing when I took the fall colors of my tree and again it’s a little soft on the edges and struggling to focus. There are time when the focus is sharp with the photo of the green tree and my dog on the couch, when it’s sharp boy this lens hits the spot. Then the last shot with he jade on the pot that’s an ok one..it’s showing the pot as a background instead of the whole photo to be the subject and hence its a little soft for my liking. The last one is the video , well this is not for video, it jitters a lot even tho my camera has an image stabilization and there’s a tad bit of noise and I don’t know if that’s the motor trying to focus but it’s picking up on the video. All in all, it’s a hit or miss on photo and missed on video, but for the price….well, you get what you paid for. I say for budget lens this is one of the good buy out there but if your somewhat serious with your photo I’d say just a notch and pick up a Tamron variable lens and that should do the trick. This is not a rant but just an honest review of the lens and the photo will speak for itself.

Out of the 4 lens I own this is by far my fave right now! It’s just added a bit more taste to my photography. I love it. Not a bad price either!I will probably buy a more expensive 85mm and do a comparison video in the near future but for now, I’m super happy with this product.
