These are sturdy, functional grocery bags with happy prints that cheer me up after a boring task. I reserve the penguin bag for refrigerated foods so I can unload those foods quickly at home. The bags stand up on their own after I put my hand in and quickly flatten the bottom. They are generously sized, holding 3 each 1/2 gals. of milk with space for more (I prefer lightweight) items. I like that they fit very well into my grocery cart (Amazon Basics Folding Shopping Cart Converts into Dolly, 40 inch Handle Height): two bags inside, one on top of the other. Then, if needed, a 3rd bag fits on top of cart, with bag handles slipped over cart handle. A good buy!

The bags do not have a flat bottom with actual sides, so they don’t stand up when I’m loading groceries into them. The patterns are cute — too bad - had to return.

I live in the desert. I keep my shopping bags in my car, ready for any trip to the store (otherwise I’d forget them). My garage, in the summer, can rise to a heat of 150 degrees—I know because I put a thermometer in there. These bags are made of polypropylene that stands up to heat, which is why I bought them. I had bags literally turn to dust & partially melt in my car. Note I have not yet spent a summer with these bags but I love them. (EDIT: these bags made it through 3 months of stifling heat in my car with no problem; they also have continued to be very strong). They have proven they’re strong, do stay flat at the bottom when standing up, & are very cute, especially the birds.

I love big green bags and I have bought several in the past. But these were discouraging because the straps did not hold. Perhaps if you were carrying very late groceries, they would be sufficient. But I’m disappointed in the these

I've been using these for about 8 months now and they are holding up nicely. EVERY time I go grocery shopping the clerk always comments on them. I'll be honest: I bought these because I thought they were cute. (Also because they had great ratings of course.) I'm very pleased and I don't think you can do better for the money. You definitely cannot buy cuter reusable bags for the money. I use these to haul things beyond groceries too. Very pleased! 6 of them is more than plenty for a grocery shopping trip as well.
