Derma E Scar Gel - 2 Oz (pack of 2)

Originally bought this for knee replacement scar. Six months later the scar is a nice thin line! Now I use it on my face. It’s great moisturizing my oily, sensitive skin.

The description for this product is misleading. Otherwise the product is really great.

Works better than any other product on the market. I have immune issues and sometimes it takes forever to heal. During the process any type of ointment will make me itch exasperating the problem. This stuff really works. It keeps the skin from itchy while healing and minimizes the scarring. I just had a second knee replacement and once cleared by the docter I started applying the scar gel. As I have another identical scar on the other knee I have been able to compare and so far the one with scar gel applied appears to be less visible then the other one. Scars tend to pucker the skin and are tight. This product helps enormously with this problem.It is not greasy. While you need to remain uncovered until it is absorbed unlike creams or ointments it absorbs far quicker into the skin.I have tried so many products and this is the ONLY one which has been helpful. Most of the others were like putting lotion or cream on the scar which frequently caused more irritation without any result.

I’ve been using this product off and on since January 2019. I’ve tried peels, creams and oils, but this gel treatment is simple and cheap enough that it’s easy to be consistent with it’s use. I’ve been using it almost every night for the past 2 weeks and I’ve noticed that my new scarring has disappeared while my old scars are much less noticeable.It’s definitely a powerhouse product and because it’s for scarring, it can last a long time. I’ve only just reached the bottom of my first jar.The reason why I did not give this product the full five stars is due to the fact that I break out when I apply too much gel. I’ve never reacted that way to anything I’ve ever tried on my skin...so it was jarring the first few times it happened to me. I’ve learned that using less products beneath the gel and then using a very light touch with the gel itself yields the best results.If you have a uterus/get periods, I suggest ramping up use of this product at the point in your cycle where your skin will be most receptive to it because it’s renewing itself. For those of you who may not be aware: your cycle has a number of “negative” affects on your skin, but one of the positives is that it can make your skin turnover more quickly than it normally does. This allows products, especially exfoliants, brighteners and scar treatments to be much more effective. Usually, this happens during the period. So while you’re fighting cramps, you can fight scarring as well.My skin: medium to dark brown and prone to scarring (my bra straps have left scars on my shoulders). Oily with hormonal acne. Not sensitive to products or food, except this one!

I’ve used this product before and worked great. However, the gel is very watery this time. Also, one of the jar was only filled half way.. will not buy again.
