Q: Will this shock mount work if it is used upside down?

Yes, the mount will work upside down. The elastic bands are fairly taught, and I had no issue with my quick inverted test.

Q: is this compatible with blue snowball ice tripod?

If you are referring to the tripod that came with it, the threading is the same so it will fit. However, I don't find it a great idea because it sits higher up with that mount and will tip over easier due to how small the legs on that tripod are. You could probably do something to prevent that like tape the legs down to whatever it's sitting on but it's going to look terrible. If you get this, at least spend $15-20 on a cheap desk clamp arm (with the suspension springs on the outside of the arm) or do yourself a favor a shell out a little extra (at least $35-40) for a quality mic arm (with the springs inside the arm).

Q: What all does this come with

It only comes with the shock mount. No stand, tripod, or electronics included. A female thread on the bottom with two, concentric threads. A metallic, 'U' shaped frame, Elastic web, Inner plastic frame, and a large, male thumb screw for the microphone. Everything come assembled.
