I have owned this thermometer for two years now and it has work flawlessly and the meats that the wife and I cook using this tool always come out perfect, moist and tender. I would buy another one ASAP, if I ever lost or broke this one we have. It is all straight forward common sense to get it to work and ours worked right out of the box so I am not sure of the issue the other person had with it.

The thermometer does not work out of the box. It gets no reading for temperature. The instructions in the box do not correspond to the thermometer. There is no contact information for the manufacturer. Funny how none of the pictures on the box shows it measuring a temperature.

Brand new and it didn't work. Gave meat temperatures in the 300° range when meat was raw!
