Jean Patou Mini Coffret Fragrance Gift Set

I wanted to re sample Joy, a perfume my stepmother had worn when I was a girl. I LOVED the smell, and looked forward to it. I couldn't find a sampler size of Joy alone, and I'm glad I didn't.This sampler of the Patou fragrances far surpassed my expectations. The Joy smelled lovely, as I remember it. It reminded me of the nights my parents went to formal affairs, and my stepmother would splash on Joy; her fragrance would linger so beautifully.Much to my surprise, I have found that I ADORE Mille, 1000. I love it more than Joy, which is still a beautiful fragrance. When my mini bottle runs out, I will be buying 1000, as I find it spectacular. It suits me far better than Joy., both now and in the past when I would help myself to the bottle of "the most expensive perfume in the world"!This sampler is wonderful for someone who wants to try some of the classics of perfume, and some newer Payou scents. I highly recommend it.

I gave this Jean Patou Mini Coffret as gift to my daughter, who was more interested in Channel. She liked them. I came to know Jean Patou JOY in 1971, when my wife got a gift just after our marriage. I was deeply fascinated with the fragrance. In those days JOY boasted in ads as the "costliest perfume in the world". But I believe this company stopped production later. The ones they are selling do not match up to the old fabulous perfume, but still better than most of its rivals.

So it ended up not working as the gift was intended to which was too bad but in terms of the product, it's pretty good. One of the bottles was a little scratched. But the scents are authentic (I wear a lot of Patou - these are authentic)I think it would make a good gift for a high end perfume consumer. It was supposed to be a gift for my mother. But these aren't spray bottles, they're dab-and-pat bottles. Which is NOT a good way to wear perfume. So be prepared to buy atomizers with it if you want to use these as a spray.

Among all the fragnances I really liked 1000 and Joy Forever. Joy and Sublime were a bit too heavy for me , but of course scents are such personal choices. One perfume that I like and wear well may not suit another person and vice versa. So , though it is not a cheap set, it is a good opportunity to try out different scents from the collection before one invests in full sizes.

I bought this as a xmas gift and have no clue of the scent. However, based upon internet search, I paid to much and could have purchased this item for $20.00 less. Just a FYI

I wanted to repurchase Joy but was interested in trying the others. Thank you, Amazon for this coffret!I am loving trying the new (to me) ones.Never hesitate to buy Jean Patou. These are dab bottles, which is nice, just please don't rub your wrists together! It injures the scent.These are eau de parfum, so the bottles are not that small.Life is short. Don't wear cheap perfume.

This perfume house has a grand reputation, wish the fragrances aligned with that. Purchased the mini coffret fragrance gift set as a present to myself, but will definitely be re-gifting. The fragrances are really cheap smelling and that also conflicts with the price tag. Save your money for Guerlain.

So lovely to have an opportunity to try the other scents at this price. So sad it’s all now out of production and discontinued.
