Q: I have a shaving brush that I use with the shave crearm I currently use. Would this work with a brush?

I don't use a brush but yes I do believe it would work with a brush. Its not foamy at all though, its more liquid. Cetaphil type consistency.

Q: How many uses are in the 5 oz?

This is a question that only can be answered by the person shaving. The directions say apply a quarter amount which for my face does not feel adequate for coverage. For another person a quarter's worth will be more than enough. So, the only direction that I can give you is that you are the determinent of how many uses depending entirely on the amount of shaving is required (the amount of beard to be shaved, how often you shave). So, the answer to your question can only be answered by you(the user) after the container is empty. It's an individual thing. Good shaving!

Q: Compared to shave gel, how well does this lather? And for those who shave their bodies, how long does it last?

It doesn't lather for me at all...it leaves a smooth and lubricating layer that protects my skin from razor blades better than any other cream, gel, or foam I've used for shaving. I find a jar usually lasts me about 6 weeks. It doesn't take of cream to protect my skin ...and as much as I live on the road and overseas, I've even made a jar stretch 8 weeks.
