Question 1

The sun joe spx 3001 has a detergent chamber and mixer on the machine, why would i need this?

I have the spx4001 on order and I read the manual after ordering. It says you have to empty and clean out the soap container after every use. I wondered if that were pecurliar to Sun Joe, but I downloaded another manufacturer's manual and it said the same thing. What a pain. I would have thought they'd have a design that didn't require that. Anyway that requirement has made me decide to look at a soap cannon. I'm going to read up, but I want one that can keep the soap in it for next use and not have to fuzz with cleaning it out every time.  If anyone can recommend such an add-on, I'd appreciate knowing which one to buy.

Question 2

If you own a spx-3000 or the spx-3001. what purpose do this gun serve if you mix the soap in one of the cotainers on the pressure washer?

My experience was that the bottle on the pressure washer premixes through the wand. This gives a soap mix and may work well with side walks, siding, ETC...
The gun foams the soap solution so when I wash our vehicles the foams sets for 5-10 minutes and just rinse with the garden hose (high volume of water) and dry. Cuts wash time in half on the Suburban.

Question 3

Bought a sun joe 1000 for my travel trailer. can you shut off the soap for a rinse-only spray? or do you have to remove it from the sprayer handle?

You can shut it off but it doesn't turn back into a pressure washer it acts like a water hose. ( not that much water comes out)
