A very good value. Don't be fooled by "super bright" lamps that are only 100 or 200 lumens. That is not bright. 200 lumens is the output of a 25-watt incandescent light bulb. 1000 lumens is roughly the equivalent of a 75-watt incandescent light bulb. That still may not sound like a lot, but it's a nice white beam, and it's focused over a narrower range than a light bulb. We have livestock to feed in the cold and dark, and this headlamp is perfect for this purpose. It's lightweight, comfortable, and stays put. You should be careful to not aim it at anyone's eyes.

So far, I like this light. 4.5 Stars. I would give 5 stars if the narrow beam was better. It came with 2 Gear Torero 18650, 4200 mAH, 3.7 Volt Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. The batteries were at least partially charged when I received it because I turned it on for a few seconds to make sure it was functional. These 18650 batteries are readily available if you want to have a spare set for prolonged usage but be aware they are an odd physical size and 3.7V and standard battery sizes will not fit.On high and the widest setting, it casts a fairly even, perfectly round bright light without an obvious hot spot. As you zoom all the way to the narrowest beam the pattern becomes square and at the narrowest setting, you will see the pattern of the LED chip itself. The low setting is certainly bright enough for indoor or short range use. I have found an undocumented feature which may or may not work on other units. While in strobe mode, if I press and hold the power button for a few seconds, it flashes SOS in Morse code. I am not sure how waterproof it is (it is claimed to be waterproof) because there are cooling vents on the top of the light although the actual light portion seems to have an O-ring seal around the focusing portion which slides in and out. The charging port does have a rubber plug and the battery compartment has a rubber cover that seems to fit well. There is also a rear facing red tail light which mimics whatever mode the main light is doing. You could certainly cover it with tape if you don't want it to show. At the price of $15.99, I am very happy with its initial performance.Before anyone asks, I have no idea how long the batteries will last on a charge.

Like it says, this is a BRIGHT light. I don't see a lot of difference between bright and dim so I use dim most often. I'm also usually working with my hands so close up is naturally brighter. It is slightly heavy after a little while. Would be great if there were some way to bypass the strobe to turn it off or if there were some way to turn it on and off without cycling through all the modes.

Works great. Not as bright as advertised. Battery lasts pretty long. And it's not too uncomfortable on my head and I have big head.Update: light stopped working for no reason after 3 months. Just started blinking and then it was gone. No warranty either. Here is a picture of the back light on but the main light not. I'm very upset how this turned out. I loved this light until that happened.

Light is very good and battery keeps charge with heavy use. Only flaw which is enormous is the clip that holds head band to battery pack broke second time I used the light. It does not make the light useless but I had to jury rig attachment to attach the band for use. Think twice before buying this particular light.

This light works great! Paid $14.99. Has a low and high setting. Adjustable light you can have wide angle or more narrow beam. Also has strobe setting. Used light for 2.5 hrs straight with no problems. Recharges very easily. Would definitely buy again.

Loved these! The batteries lasted for a month and it was easy to recharge. I used this in a village in Africa and it provided me with great light.

Amazing light. I have used it on high for 8 hours on a single charge. It is now my favorite flashlight...and that is saying a lot!
