Q: Why is this a lighter copper color but others similar have a darker copper color yet all say 100% copper?

there are several possible reasons: but the two most probable are: 1) the photos of these pitchers might have been taken under different lighting conditions; and/or 2) the color of the copper can be affected by a couple of reasons, e.g., a particular source region for the copper will often have a different suite of mineral/elemental admixtures to the native copper; or copper will also shade darker as it ages due to variations in temperature, humidity, oxygen, etc. Note that these oxidation effects can be rectified by applying an assortment of simple mixtures, e.g., vinegar, flour, water, in addition to chemical cleaners.

No I don't have the mugs or the cups. What I have is the pitcher.

Q: The inside of the water pitcher started to tarnish after having water inside. Can I remove this?

When copper comes in contact with water it is very normal to loose its color or tarnish. Mine did the same thing but I was expecting it. I kept my pitchers outside the same way as it was as I always wipe it after washing it so water doesn't stay.
