Sweet and Enduring Classic
I grew up on this book and now get to read it to my grands. The detail in the drawings, and the sweet story of simpler times is just the kind of book I want them to love. Plus it's a great way to introduce "losing a tooth" to kids.

Delightful Children's Book
I grew up on the New England coast in the US and this book is reminiscent of my childhood. You don't have to be a "yankee" to appreciate the story which is about a little losing her first tooth when she is clamming with her father, It is a very gentle story and despite it's age is still lovely.

Charming story
I’ve had this author recommended to me several times, but nothing quite prepared me for the combined charm of the story and the illustrations. He portrays life through a kids eyes so well and there are so many little details in the illustrations that every time I read it to my daughter I notice something else. I’d recommend for 2.5 and up since they’re more wordy than regular baby books.
