I wanted a light blanket for the end of my bed. This one is light, and looks great. I haven't washed it yet but I am confident it should wash up ok as long as it is washed by itself and not with anything that might snag it. The weave does look a but loose in areas. I really appreciate 100% cotton items as it seems like everything has plastic/polyester in it now a days.

The cotton blanket arrived on time. Unfortunately it is far too small. I ordered king size as I have a queen bed and I am very dissapointed with this product.It doesn't come down the sides of the mattress I can hardly tuck it in. Unhappy customer.

This blanket was washed according to the care label prior to first use. I was unpleasantly surprised when I saw the amount of lint left in the washer and clinging to the blanket itself after that first wash (see photo 1). Even after shaking the blanket before drying, the dryer's lint catcher was overloaded at the cycle's end. I also had to vacuum the lint from the floor.The blanket is a nice weight and lovely texture (hence, the 4 star rating so far) so I hope it will be good for my elderly MIL. I doubt I'll be buying another, though.UPDATE 3/24/19-Washed a 2nd time today. Fibers still coming off noticeably in washing machine (see photo #3). Photo 4 shows an empty drier lint trap and photo 5 shows the same trap after drying this blanket a second time. Lowered my rating.

I loved the feel of this blanket.it is thin but still has some weight to it. I don't like how it came apart at the seems on the 1st wash. It also seems small . Maybe it shrunk in the wash? I'm returning it.

This is just the blanket I was looking for and I love it. As other reviews have said it had a smell when first taken out of the package, however that is due to the plastic zipper bag it comes in. I washed the blanket before use and the smell is completely gone. To be honest I also ignored the instructions when washing and used a normal wash cycle with a warm wash and cold rinse. I also put it in the regular heat of the dryer (with a standard, unscented dryer "fabric softener" sheet). It still came out perfect. I find it to be very soft and flexible, not at all stiff or "crunchy" as others have described. It's a great weight, not heavy but still more than a sheet or flannel blanket. Because it's cotton it's very breathable. It holds in body heat just enough without making you overheat. As for the color, mine is a medium turquoise that leans more toward the blue side. It's a beautiful color, and I wouldn't say it has much, if any, green to it at all.
