You don’t have to settle for “cheaper”.
Overpriced and worth it. My R1 gives me about 15,000 images per full charge.

Go OEM if you wan the best and most reliable battery life.
OEM batteries are pretty much the only way to go with you want the best and most reliable battery life. Unfortunately aftermarket batteries although more affordable are very hit and miss, and mostly miss. They almost always don't perform as well as OEM and if you are a professional or enthusiast you really can't trust aftermarket in the heat of the moment. So it's worth it to send the money on OEM, 5 Stars.I purchased this for my new Canon R3. What's nice about the LP-E19 is that it's a high capacity battery compared to the LP-E6 versions, so how many do you really need? One battery can do a full day of shooting, so having 2 will cover most situations. Only needing to purchase 1 extra one makes going OEM a little easier financially verses the LP-E6 where you may need like 3-4 for a full day of shooting on a R5 and it's worse with the R5C.

Works as advertised for R3
Compatible with my R3. Just wish life was a little longer, but two batteries generally gets me through six or more sports games/matches on tournament days.

Battery Charger
I ordered a new EOS R1 and a back up battery. Original battery worked fine, better than fine. However, the back up Canon battery failed. Full charge, no spark. Has anyone had similar issues? Is it the battery or the charger? I can't find any reviews on the charger itself.
