The media could not be loaded.  It's such a delight to find a product that performs better than you expected it to. The minute I put it in the birdbath, it started spitting out water, even though it was only getting hazy dappled sunlight. The next day which was still hazy (thank you, wildfires), the fountain performed in a steady stream. My video shows the fountain at 5:00 PM, after the sun has gone behind trees in my yard. I'm using one of the simpler nozzles.One caveat, it needs 1.2" of water to perform. My birdbath is only 1.5", so when a bird comes in and splashes some water out, the fountain stops working. The solution? I've already ordered a different birdbath!Can't comment on longevity, since it's only my second day.

It was really easy to put together and when I put it in my bird bath it started spraying right away. I really loved the feature that allowed the fountain to continue working when the sun isn’t shining….but the fountain stopped spraying after 2 days. There didn’t seem to be any type of a clog or any other troubleshooting I could figure out. I was allowed to return it for a full refund though, so it was worth trying…

The media could not be loaded.  First, let me say that I read reviews, and if possible I watch videos posted by other customers before I purchase most items. One thing that I noticed and I was a bit concerned about was seeing how people had to shake this product in water to get it to work. But, we didn't have that problem, the fountain pump started working immediately after placing it in water. Phewww! That was a relief. We received it yesterday (6-10-23), and decided we wouldn't let it stay in water overnight. This morning I was anxious to get it working again, so I thought I'd enjoy it while having coffee. It didn't go that way! We had an overcast, and it took a while to get it going (maybe it was needing coffee too). I waited and watched from my patio as it spit a bit here and there about once a minute. After my second cup of coffee I grew impatient, and decided I'd check back an hour or so later. Voila! When I returned I was pleased to see it was working just fine. Although I didn't give this item five stars (there's always room for improvement), I am very satisfied with this product, and I am already thinking about buying another one. I’ve been through several fountains that haven’t lasted long. This one is easy to clean and is still going strong. It’s perfect because I’m able to use the base attachment to form a “bubbler” for my small bird bath. I do clean the filter almost daily. If yours clogs, pull off the black piece where the filter is and you’ll see a white fan blade. Make sure there is nothing in that and that the fan spins easily. The only negative is I don’t feel like the attachments for the fountain fit very easily. It was very hard to get on. Maybe a defective batch.

It lasted one year and honestly I did not clean the filter until last spring. I did store it over winter. I will look at another from this brand because of the following. I bought a replacement solar fountain that died in less than 2 months. So this one is the better one. I think I'll look for one with more wattage. What I do believe the problem is the shiny film on the solar fountain. It disintegrated in parts.

I loved this product, and over time ordered 3. They worked great but eventually the solar cells stopped charging and they have all failed. I like having them so much that I may reorder if they are cheap enough.

The key thing is that it has a battery to store some juice so it works during a cloudy period or a little while after sunset. I hope it lasts a few years like my last fountain…so far it’s got way better features…battery backup and many water nozzle types. The straws help keep the floating fountain towards the center of the birdbath.UPDATE: I placed a video here of the fountain in the shade at 7:15pm. It’s a way better fountain than I previously had in the birdbath.

So it is a nice looking product. It worked great for almost a week, then nothing. As you can see from the picture it is a clearly very sunny day. Pic was taken at 5pm so it has been in the sun all day. it has been sunny for days now. I did follow instructions for cleaning it. I should also mention that when I took out the filter it did not have any debris in it. Pump stopped working a day or two ago. I waited to write a review thinking it might charge after some added time in the sun. Clearly It is not working. I read a review or two from other people who had the same issue and honestly I thought it was operator error, now I'm just mad at myself. Lesson Learned!

Suction of water is good so when it comes out through the spout there is a decent flow. Needs a good amount of sun to operate fully. Only downside is that you cannot switch it off to store power.

Requires a lot of bright sunlight to work, and even then it can be lazy. I have had it 2 weeks and only seen it with a foot high jet once. A 2" high jet once, and the rest of the time when I walk past it is not working. It appears the battery is not charging at all. Hopefully next summer it will come alive.
