I am so impressed with this design! It’s awesome to be able to switch to the red filter in the water. I’m not sure why there are bad reviews on this thing. My only complaint would’ve been a more detailed instructions on how to piece it together and use. I mean it’s kinda common sense but not really.

Me gusto mucho la calidad de las fotos y de los videos, el espacio entre el lente de la cámara y el domo permite tener una mejor calidad de imagen, el infrarrojo y el 2x son de gran utilidad y veras una gran mejora en tus videos.

Good dome that allows to take beautiful pictures in the water, but quite heavy and clumsy. Easy to scratch, make sure to always(!) put it in the protective sleeve when not in water.

I bought it for a vacation, and the very first time I used it in the water, it completely flooded and wouldn’t turn on. Amazon refused to help because it was past the 30-day window. The light quickly corroded and now doesn’t work at all. Total waste of money — don’t bother buying this

I liked this dome and really wanted to like it more but there are some design flaws that have prompted me to return it. Primarily the loss of the view port for seeing the screen on the front of the GoPro if you purchase the model with the rotating red and macro filters. You can buy this dome in two versions with either the rotating wheel giving you the red, macro or no filter or the other version is no filters and just the viewing port to the screen on the front of the camera. For me that is a big loss and I don't understand why the manufacturer could not figure out a way to have bothby putting that wheel on the opposite side. Now let's talk about diving with this cute little thing.. honestly it is a great little product but it has a place in our aquatic adventures and I don't think that is best suited on a scuba dive below the surface. It is certainly super fun for a snorkel or as I have seen lots of other reviews suggest for swimming pools as a training aide, beaches and dogs crashing into the waves etc. Now from a scuba diving perspective the housing is a whole lot of trouble. The reason for this is that by design the dome has a decent amount of air space inside and as we all know that this air space in scuba diving means that the housing will be positively buoyant underwater. Have you ever tried holding a football underwater at 4feet in a pool? It's fun but you will get tired real quick! So for regular scuba diving I think you need to understand the significant positive buoyancy and you will need to either switch housings from this fun surface housing before you go deep to a conventional underwater housing or add some weight to the dome so that you can make it neutral and not feel like you are wrestling it the whole dive. For me the loss of the viewports when I purchase the red/macro lens option is enough to pass on it and I could have worked out the buoyancy issue.

The only thing I can't tell the difference much between the lenses. I just used the clear.

Robust thicker glass than other dome ports. Handle could be filled with lead to encounter the strong positive buoyancy. However the screws on the handle had to be very much tightened as the dome tends to swivel up.

Wir waren leider nicht wirklich begeistert. Eigentlich ein cooles Gadget nur hatten wir ein paar Probleme damit. Der Auslösmechanismus funktioniert unter Wasser leider gar nicht gut, wodurch man nie weiß, ob die Kamera jetzt läuft oder eben nicht. Es waren schon als wir das Teil bekommen haben einige feine Kratzer auf der Oberfläche. Wir hatten gehofft, dass diese auf den Aufnahmen nicht sichtbar sind, wurden aber als wir die ersten Aufnahmen gemacht haben leider schnell enttäuscht. Leider ist durch die nicht ganz glatte Oberfläche und die Krater auch die Wassertropfen immer stark haften geblieben. Dadurch hat man bei einer Aufnahme die sowohl über als auch Unterwasser stattfinden soll leider immer unscharfe Bereiche durch die Wassertropfen auf den Aufnahmen. Echt schade aber das Gadget ging leider zurück.

I had a lot of fun using it for split shots. I didn’t use supplied trigger as it is not necessary and obstructed GoPro display. Red filter did not make a lot of improvement to underwater pictures and videos. Strongly recommend for split (above and underwater at the same time) videos and pictures. For purely underwater and above water pictures it is not necessary.
