I was looking extensively for a robust car battery tester with high accuracy for months. I found the Autel BT 608 (E) Battery Tester. This little device is packed with a plathera of features that will amaze you! As a DYI person whose does basic maintenance on many cars, this marvel of technology allows anyone to check car batteries simply following a series of prompts on the five inch color touch screen. Okay, sounds interesting right. Well this unit will test lead/acid flooded, enchanted flooded, AGM flat and AGM spiral and GEL using adaptive conductance for 6 volt to 12 volt batteries. It’s a wi-fi, and blue tooth enabled device with “lifetime” updated via wi-fi on many car manufacturers speciations that are periodically updated. Did I mention the Bluetooth dongle? Yes, it has an obdII dongle so it can populate the screen with information from the car itself! Believe me there more features as well like a built-in thermal printer…etc. The only downside is the price. At the time of this review I payed about $540 plus taxes. It’s a professional level tool for a good price. Auto dealers have just as accurate battery testers that costs thousands. This is a purchase is one I do not regret because of all the features. I can literally check any car battery, alternator and starter in about 10 minutes and give the owner a printout with all the relevant information with a high level of accuracy.

My shop does 12v automotive installations and this is a great tool for for them. Can test the starting/charging/battery of a vehicle and pull freeze data. Print out pdf's of results (have to download a program from autel.com to print from pc connected printer after you register device) for clients and to document vehicle conditions before and after installations. It's a fairly new product from autel, so vehicle coverage is still being updated but covers most vehicles, and comes with free updates for life for vehicle coverage. Since purchasing autel has made it possible to use camera as a stand alone and you can take pictures of your install for quick reference if needed (great for making guides for future installs or referring back to if product needs disconnected during a repair for some reason) Has in-depth multimeter functionality for tracking down shorts, open circuits, wire testing, etc. Can also test 48v hybrid batteries, though, I have yet a reason use that function, and walk you through battery reset procedures for vehicles that have a relearning state/reset. The UI is fairly simple, but takes some getting used to, could use a little fine tuning, but this has become a tool I use before and after install. Plus th UI is still being updated along with everything else.

A few weeks ago, I purchased an Autel BT 608(E) battery tester from Amazon. It arrived quickly and was exactly as advertised. Today, I tested it on a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country, and it worked perfectly. The tester performed accurately and allowed me to erase any error codes. I highly recommend the seller, as the purchasing and receiving process was straightforward, and they are available to assist if needed.

I feel this a quality unit has many functions. My problem was it said I had a quality Wi-Fi connection on the unit but hooked up to the car and it would just buffer until it said no connection. Also the screen froze on me a few times had to turn it off and back on again and it would do it again. Had to send it back. I might have just got a bad unit.

This is the best battery tester I have ever owned it is very simple to use easy to read and does everything I needed to do I like how the screen is big and easy to read and easy to operate anybody can do it the printer has graphics on it and print out everything that you have tested for those moments you need to save stuff without having to make a file I highly recommend the battery tester and also a lot of the scanners that autel has they are one of the better products I have ever bought highly recommend

All of the battery testing in vehicle and out of vehicle are excellent. All battery functions with vehicles up to 2025 with latest updates. Customer service is excellent! I already have the mk808 & ts508. Autel makes great products. The diagnostics could use an update. Most vehicles are 2020-2021 but I know it’s in work for the next free lifetime updates.
