Good Quality Sea Buckthorn Powder
This powder is actually one of the best options available for incorporating sea buckthorn into your diet other than getting the fresh berries (which are uncommon in stores). It's also one of the highest quality powders made from this berry other than the Arctic Flavors version, and smells and tastes as it should every time. For people unfamiliar with sea buckthorn, different people have a different impression, but for me the smell is admittedly unpleasant (it has a fishy smell with a hint of citrus fruit) while the taste is somewhat like sour orange (not too bad). However, the taste and smell isn't my motivation for getting this powder. From the ancient Greeks to the Chinese, the sea buckthorn berry is used in traditional medicine and considered to have a number of healing effects. I have noticed it has tangible health benefits when I eat it, including a faster healing of skin problems. I only wish this version was freeze-dried instead of air-dried, but the company claims there are challenges to doing that.

Most sea buckthorn products are full of maltodextrin (yuck). This one is just pure, organic sea buckthorn powder. I appreciate the company's making it available to customers who are looking for a high quality product. (Works well when stirred into yogurt).(It has a tart, citrus-like flavor, so most people might want to add a little xylitol or a similar sweetener, or perhaps a little honey, if using it in this way.)
