This book is amazing especially for greys anatomy fans
Love the book so much gives a inside point of viess was form most of the actors and actresses on the show it was so fun to have a inside look at what it was like and how things came about . It really is a good book and I highly recommend that your read it esprit you like medical dramas or greys anatomy in general. Perfect if you want to go in to acting because you can see the actors and actresses point of view on how it was working for shondaland and abc. It is also a really funny book.

More Fluff Than Substance
This is a breezy read for Grey's fans (or former fans like me who stopped watching years ago, but still keep up with the goss), but it is also a very sanitized, surface level telling of a show that is known to be as dramatic off-screen as it is on.At the end of the book, in the acknowledgements, Rice quotes a source who says something like, “the real story won't be told because people won’t go on the record like me.” And unfortunately, that definitely comes across in this book. There are a few unnamed sources who deliver quotes with some actual teeth about behind-the-scenes negotiations with actors and hint at the interpersonal drama, but most of this seems to be sourced from pre-existing press interviews from EW or other publications. The new interviews from the book appear to be largely from former writers and smaller-part actorsKatherine Heigl is probably the most redeemed by the book, but too little time is given to discussing the interpersonal conflicts that led to the explosion in publicity and drama that culminated in the third season of the show. There is no new information about Justin Chambers' abrupt exit, even from veiled sources. And the Patrick Dempsey exit section is just a retread of Rice's article for EW. (It is clear getting the Dempsey exclusive interview is a highlight of Rice's professional career, and I commend her for that, but I wish the book had gone more in-depth and beyond the publicist-approved messaging the actors and show wanted to portray.)The oral-history format feels like the wrong approach for a book claiming to be “the inside story,” especially if the interviews are going to be largely culled from (or written in the same style) as the PR-friendly missives you get in EW, People, or TVLine. Very few people seem willing to share the actual truth, leading the reader to try to infer the actual interpersonal dynamics at play. This isn’t a bad book. It just doesn’t give the world the real inside story. The goss is stale.

Quotes from interviews from people that worked on the show
This book has 14 main chapters, and about 276 pages, not including the notes at the end.Other reviewers mentioned that this book is mostly quotes; but to clarify, these are not quotes from the actual SHOW. These are mostly quotes from interviews with the actors, or other people that worked on the show; talking about things like what it was like to work with certain people, or ideas for characters that never panned out. Occasionally the author will add in comments, mostly in italics, but over 95% of the book is made up of these interview quotes. Also, in between pages 104 and 105 are eight pages of pictures, mostly scenes from the show or Entertainment Weekly covers. This book does have a few interesting behind-the-scenes stories, but the format made it fairly difficult for me to get into. There really isn't much of a contribution from the author, as each chapter only has a few sentences before it goes into the quotes from the people that worked on the show. When a book is structured like this, composed of snippets from dozens of different interviews, the skill is mostly in compiling the quotes together so that they tell a cohesive story; and this book was somewhat mediocre at that. Sometimes there was a decent flow, but other times the quotes seemed a bit random.Overall, diehard fans of the show might still enjoy the stories from the actors, but just be aware of what you're getting here. This is a book that was created by cutting up and arranging quotes from dozens of interviews, so it jumps back and forth between different people's stories and perspectives. If that doesn't bother you, then you might enjoy this book.

Good but not what I expected
Interesting to read but I was disappointed that some of the actors and actresses weren’t a part of the book. Instead of being a typical book, this is a book with a lot of commentary from a lot of the actors, writers, and other people that worked on the show. I learned some things I never knew that were very interesting but some of it was repetitive. I do recommend it to anyone who is a big fan of Grey’s anatomy.

Perfect for Super Fans
I love a hospital drama. I was a full-on #ER fan forever. And when #greysanatomy debuted, I was in and have watched it in real-time over the 12 billion seasons it has been on.Apparently, Grey's is a big hit with the teens. They binge it and become obsessive about many of the plot twists and characters. This book is for them. The book is the result of interviews, mainly with people behind the scenes, many culled from material the author sourced from interviews she and others did for @entertainmentweekly .The format is oral history and though it was a bit jarring to me at first, I settled in and enjoyed it.Now I have to go back and rewatch a couple of the most talked-about episodes.@greysabc
