Appion AV760 Full Range Digital Vacuum Gauge

So my 1st one was stuck at 25 than 2nd one even worst stuck at 43 than finally leak free go down to 11 and pump ultimate vacuum is 15 so yeah finally I'm in peace. I was actually emailing appion and they were saying science about vacuum but all it was an internal leak glad that fixed and I did learn about this gauge that the sensor this gauge uses I don't think any other in the HVAC market uses that sensor and that sensor is thermal detection and appion engineering department told me. Finally the bluetooth radio interfere with the lowest microns reading so meaning if it's at 15 microns and I turn the bluetooth on the gauge will jump to like 27 and it will sort of get stuck their but that is if I'm pulling in the vacuum pump but in the field that shouldn't be an issue so happy hvac hunting everyone.

I've been pulling vacuums on mostly commercial rooftops for the last 6 months and I've had no issues with this gauge. I really like the 2 layers of filter material protecting the sensor. Batteries lasted all summer, averaging about 6 hours per week. Didn't always use Bluetooth, but the app has a nice "record" feature that's handy for proving your vacuum decay test passed. Range was about 50 feet or so. One thing to note: reading will jump up about 20 microns when you turn on the Bluetooth feature. (Jumped from 250 to 271 yesterday). Good tool, overall. The slight difference in reading with the radio on/off doesn't really affect what I'm doing.

Like most Appion products this doesn't disappoint. Feels very well built. As with anything like this time will tell how it holds up but the bluetooth connectivity and graphing features are great. Amazon has the best price on it too!

I have had 8 micron gauges of different types and this one is hands down the best quality and the most accurate. I have never used the Bluetooth on it and don't need it.

I like that this reads all the way to atmosphere. Downloading the app for the Bluetooth feature was easy enough. My phone loses signal at 12 to 15 feet. I have already accidentally exposed this to nitrogen pressure but with no ill effects. I also broke the inlet filter. Pay close attention to the brass connector piece. One side has a depressor and the other does not. If you hook it up the depressor side to the Appion it will push all those little bb looking things in and they fall apart. It would be smart to mark the depressor side with an "X" from a sharpie or mark it some other way to remind you. Still using it though and it still works. Battery life seems very decent.

Don’t waste your money...had one fail which the Appion company replaced at no charge after using 7 times. Now the replacement has failed after 10 uses. After the first replacement Appion told me they won’t warranty the replacement unit so I’m stuck needing a new one. DONT BUY THIS BRAND!
