I was really excited about this vest. When I opened the box I was impressed with the look and quality of the vest. It smells like a wetsuit but I was okay with that. When I plugged it in nothing happened, I made sure my battery pack was fully charged and tried it again. The battery pack that I had was very small so I thought it would not be so bulky in the vest but maybe it wasn't big enough to make the vest work. I still really wanted the vest so I ordered a brand new battery pack that stored more energy and charged at a higher amperage rate. Again, when I plugged it in nothing happened. I tried plugging the vest directly into my iPhone charger and the switch lit up but still no heat and I obviously can't wear a vest that has to be plugged in. I am returning the vest and the battery pack to Amazon with much frustration. By the time I get my refund it won't be cold enough for a heated vest. I have had horrible luck with non name brand items that I purchase on Amazon. I wish there was some way they could filter the crap out. The Milwaukee brand heated jackets and hoodies are great, they produce a ton of heat and don't smell like a wet suit, but they do cost almost twice as much.

This is a good product. It's not the greatest but for a more reasonable price it's warm. The one issue that disturbs me is their NOT telling you it requires a constant power source to keep working so you may need to spend even more for a power pack and charging cord. It would have been better to state this CLEARLY and provide great suggestions with additional cost because to get this to work as well as possible we're now at a total cost of $101.00. Had I known all of this I would have searched and purchased a vest with everything included. The vest is keeping my husband warm, I want to point that out and I would suggest that they up the quality of the inside wiring used because he said the right side works off and on. If it continues I'll send it back but he also said when both sides are on with the back it's really warm and comfortable, exactly what he needed. He's average size and 5' 10" and I purchased the XXL so if you're someone broad chested it's likely not going to be big enough or try another company.

I like this vest but it seems like it was warmer when I first started using it and has gotten weaker as the months go by. It no longer keeps me as warm as it did when it was new. Also, when I start it up on the highest setting it goes to the second highest setting on its own after a few minutes. I don't know if it is overheating and so it drops down a setting or what. When it was working it was great, now it's just OK.
