Not what I expected.
I purchased this bag because of what I believed to be its great utility in design. unfortunately, that was not the case. The opening for gi pouch at the bottom is too small for a folded gi, luckily there is a cheap oddly placed upside down fabric handle that you can grip while you attempt to stuff your gi in the undersized opening. the interior of the bag is a mess due to the sloppy loose gi pocket that makes the inside of the bag look like you crammed a yellow tarp in it. the side pockets are open and have no mesh or additional pockets. The bag features pointless load bearing waste straps that hang and look sloppy, the web retainers intended to hold excess straps are too small and thin to hold the excess when rolled up and look terrible, the same thing goes for the middle chest strap except for that one doesn't have the web strap retainers so its even worse, this is a bjj bag, so im not sure why it even needs those straps. the middle pocket intended for your phone or like items does have a nice lining but it has no support under the fabric so it appears sloppy loose and wrinkled and can make it hard to retrieve items. I would recommend purchasing a more expensive alternative or getting a premium bjj duffle bag for the same price.

Perfect BJJ Backpack
I ordered this bag to replace a worn out traditional gym bag. So far, I love it. It seems extremely well made and should hold up for a long time. I pack the bag with: a full A2 gi, belt, change of clothes, rash guard, spats, towel, a bunch of tape, band aids, nail clippers, mouth guard and case, lacrosse balls, and a resistance band. All my gear fits with plenty of room for a small shower kit. I will be back in a couple months to update this review with how the bag is holding up. So far, highly recommended.

Doesn’t meet the advertised claims; otherwise a good bag
The advertisement claims the bag has a “WATERPROOF, SWEATPROOF DIRTY GI COMPARTMENT” and I bought the bag based on that claim and price point. Unfortunately the claim does not in any way meet reality; the sweat of my gi bleeds through the fabric of the compartment and gets my street clothes soaked with sweat as well. I really want to like this bag, and I think it would be perfect if it actually met the feature it advertised. If you bought this bag I’d suggest putting your gi in a trash bag before putting it in the compartment - that or carry a collapsible bag with you for your street clothes

ALMOST the perfect solution.
I included several images to help visualize any comments I have. The pack contained the items described below at the time the pictures were taken.Firstly, you will be very satisfied with this if the most you intend to ever carry to the mat is a single Gi, one or two pairs of rash-guards, a pair of shorts, your belt, some spare underwear/socks, and maybe some athletic tape. If you also train Muay-Thai or kick-boxing or something else, that additional gear may require additional storage. The main compartment has two pockets in addition to the main space, one small for your belt, and one which is the full depth of the pack and useful for your shorts or rash-guards or whatever. The main space within the backpack is more than enough room for A PROPERLY FOLDED GI and maybe a small item or two on top. The Gi must be in its tightly folded form though, if you try to stuff it in there it will work but it will not leave you ample room for anything else. That said, the primary problem with this pack is SPACE. The front pocket (the one with the Gold Bjj logo) has a nice soft lining, and is the only one unaffected by the other compartments. The two pockets on the pack's sides share the internal space of the main compartment so if the main compartment is already bursting at the seams with your gear, good luck fitting a water bottle in either of these. They sit flush with the exterior of the pack so anything in them is technically using the main compartment's space."The bladder," as I'm going to call it, is just as odd but useful of a feature as some of the other reviewers have said. I have a picture included which shows it pulled out of the bottom of the pack where it is located, and this ALSO shares the space of the main compartment. It is not intended to carry additional gear, though it technically could, but instead it offers protection from your sweaty Gi. With the bottom pouch open, the bladder can be pushed up into the main compartment to separate your other gear from the sweat and smell of the used Gi. Clean Gi comes out the top, and after use, dirty Gi goes back in through the bottom. I have to emphasize though, the Gi needs to be especially compact and/or folded to fit into this bottom pouch.I did give 4 stars though because the look and feel are fantastic, and when used in the conditions described this is a great solution to other methods. The bladder might be my favorite feature due to its ability to prevent a sweaty or smelly Gi from contaminating anything else within the pack. Although I have yet to leave a used Gi in this pouch for more than 24 hrs and I always let it air out afterward, it has yet to retain any noticeable smell and also effectively contains the Gi's moisture. I'm very fond of the back-padding, and I especially appreciate the chest and waist buckles included on the shoulder straps. The rest of the backpack seems durable enough, and the ergonomic shape of the zippers is nice as well. Although I'm not a fan of the artificial carbon fiber look, I really like the grey canvas.I am satisfied with the price I have paid and the functionality of its features, but I think users would benefit from more space.

Love the dirty gi compartment!
It's only been a week, so I can't speak to durability, but I love the bag. Plenty of room to store a soaked A2 gi in the specially located compartment and it has solved my mental struggle with placing my flip flops in my old gym bag with my clean gi. I used to use a plastic bag to keep my flip flops separate from my gi when bringing everything to work. Now the flip flops go in the dirty gi compartment. So this bag has replaced 3 bags: Backpack for my laptop and coffee mug for work, gym bag and plastic bag inside that gym bag to keep flip flops from touching my clean gi, or anything else that would end up on the mats.Currently holds: A2 gi, belt, rash guard top, compression undershorts, cup, rolls of tape, flip flops, MacBook, coffee mug, bottle of water, phone, keys. It's definitely full, but not busting at the seams.Edit: 13 months later and still doing well. It’s durable.

Good Backpack For BJJ.
I wanted to wait until I had used this for a bit before I wrote a review. The sleeve for the transport of your soiled Gi is just brilliant! I wear an A5 and both top and pants fit into the compartment. I’ve seen others complain that it isn’t “waterproof”. I carry my Gi from the gym to home, then throw it into the washer. I suspect if you leave it in there for weeks that the bag won’t be “waterproof” for all that. I would like to see the water bottle holder be on the outside of the backpack. I carry lots of gear (couple of rash guards, couple of compression tights, shorts, etc.) and I have room for everything. The straps are comfortable. Honestly think that if you buy this backpack you will be pleased. The company stands behind their gear and they are a pleasure to deal with after the sale.

Not what it seems
This bag is sized very weird, when you put it on it hangs off your upper back so there is a big space between your back and the bag. The pockets and lining are all very flimsy and overall much thinner and cheaper made than I expected given the description. The gi compartment is really small and there is nothing heavy duty or sweat proof about this bag.Definitely not recommended.

Great back pack / could be larger
This bjj backpack is great fro the most part. Seems well built and has a nice appearance. The water proof pockets work well to keep my dirty gi separate from the clean gi. My only real issue is with the size, it is hard to get two gis and a towel in the backpack. If it was just a little bit bigger that would be ideal. Still a fantastic product and I would recommend it!

Muy buena para solo Gis o cosas de Bjj
Da perfectamente hasta 2 Gis sin tema, el problema es que fuera de la bolsa principal las demás no les da nada, yo le agregaría un espacio para una botella de agua

Great looking and good quality just a little small
Great quality looks the only problem is that the backpack is a little smaller then I expected. It’s about the size of a normal Hershel pop quiz backpack.
