I purchased the 18x36 inch size and it’s perfect for pressing pants without having to shift them around. However, the 18x24 size works well and it’s more convenient for smaller sewing spaces. I did not notice any pungent smells, even after using it but I don’t use steam. It’s a plush 1/2 inch in thick. The ends are a bit curled from shipping but it dramatically lessened after I ironed on it and should be straight in no time. Great purchase so far!

Love the big size by the ironing board. I keep the small o e by the machine for quick pressing. Stays in place as I press. Does have a slight odor, but not a problem.

I’ve been quilting for only a handful of years. Finishing the ironing before getting it to the long arm quilter at the ironing board is a challenge. So I bought this to put on the long edge of my sewi/cutting table to make it easier for me to iron my first king-size quilt top. It went so well!!Don’t know why I didn’t get this before now. Good quality product. It came rolled and bobbed up on the ends. But a bit of water spray and hot iron helped calm it down. By the next morning it was laying flat. I liked being able to spread the quilt top behind the mat ON the table, and not onto the floor over the back of the ironing board. It’s awesome!!ONLY downside… made in China.

like the wool ironing mat. definitele a space saver in my small sewing room. my cutting table is marble and the heat of the iron does not go thru the mat. I love the smooth surface and I can do all my ironing on this mat even my clothing if I desire. I may get another one for the laundry room where everyone else irons

I like size but it does have an odor. I guess it smells like SHEEP! I am going to spray with deodorizer..

I have a wool pressing mat already which I wonder why they did not come out before, so I got a friend one. She even wonders why they did not come out before. They are a wonder!
