Swan 1600W 4 Slice Retro Toaster, Purple, Defrost, Cancel and Reheat Functions, Independent Browning Controls, ST19020PURN

I owned my previous Philips toaster for over 20 years and it never went wrong. I decided to buy one of these Swan toasters so that I had a matching set with the microwave - big mistake. After only 4 uses and in less than 5 weeks the left hand side of the toaster failed to go down. A cheap and tinny item which looks OK but is of poor quality. I have just returned the toaster and won’t be buying another one. Wish I’d kept my reliable Philips.

I purchased this toaster (purple) to match several other items I have in the same colour and range.i read a lot of negative reviews about swan products, but I have had no problems with the 9 items in the same range and colour. The toaster works well ,generously sized openings for the bread/ crumpets, easy to use ,all dials,levers are firm and well made,crumb trays are easy to remove/replace...the electrical flex is a good length with a sealed 3 pin plug

Aug 2020Only purchased this toaster to go with new kettle (also just purchased at the same time from Amazon) and other items in kitchen. In the Photo's toaster looks like it's brushed stainless steel. Even the photo on the box, it looks like it's brushed stainless steel, but it's NOT. It's very SHINY CHROME looking stainless steel. NOT Happy - Will put back in box and might use when old black one eventually dies, No idea how or if it works as unused.

I have a few items from this range, including a larger fridge & not impressed with the quality of any of them. I still love the colour although I originally wanted pink (could only find a couple of items available) but the colour is the only good thing because all of the items have been poor quality.

Bought the kettle, toaster, storage jars and bread bin, after a short while the toast had to be turned half way through, then one side doesn’t stay down, very disappointed stuck with this now as I can’t afford to replace them all so it looks like I’ll have to buy another to me it just seems a waste of time and money

Almost impossible to find. Was so happy to see there was one left on Amazon. Great toaster, costs bread even let and easy to clean. I have the matching microwave.

Unfortunately, one of the press down handles snapped off after having the toaster for c. 15 months making two slots unusable. Poor quality workmanship and ultimately creating unsustainable waste for a product one would expect to last much longer.

Excellent quality as always. Bought to replace same product which has got a bit tired looking in my new glossy kitchen. Extremely happy and gets lots of compliments. Purchased the matching kettle again too. Amazon never disappoints!
