I’m very happy with this auger so far, the quality is really good and it looks to have a great coating that gives it a nice finish. The weld between the shaft and the eye is very professional with no spots or holes. I really like the addition of the carry pouch this allows me to store it easily without having to worry about it scratching anything, it comes with a plastic tube for the tip to store and protect it.

I honestly haven't had this product for very long, however I am very impressed with the build quality. It seems to be very sturdy with a nice protective coat. I tested this out on a wooden office desk of mine (for cable management) and it worked as expected. It is very sharp and the tip managed to draw the drill down into the wood with ease. It was delivered earlier than expected as well!

Appears to be well made. Excellent addition to my go bag.

I received this product a few days ago and I'm really pleased with the quality of it. It works extremely well and feels sturdy to use even when on harder materials like harder wood. It is a good size that is easy to carry around which is made easier with the carry case. Overall, I would confidently rate this 5 stars.

Product feels good, looks of good quality. Used for about 15 holes so far and product is wonderful. Clean holes out of box.

Upon inspection of this auger, i found it to be super sharp...a custom made leather pouch for belt would be helpful to protect cutting edge as well as user. The weld did look questionable to me and the shaft was welded a little off center. I decided to put it through a wringer...i grabbed from the woodpile in yard an overseasoned chunk of corky and sinewy Manitoba maple...it was about 6 years old (don't burn much of that for woodstove - not a good burn wood). Well after one inch of drilling, it got pretty tight and slow, and had to put hands on the very ends of turning stick for maximum torque. I assumed i put alot of radial stress on this auger, but after progressing 4 to 5 inches with both the wood and the auger getting pretty warm, i was satisfied it would make it all the way, and retrieved it. Not sure how well it would hold up with daily use though, but if this thing is $29 bucks it's a gift horse (i paid around $45 a month or two ago).

Product looks good and it’s a good price, but the weld could definitely be better. What you pay for is what you get.

Received it the other day. Comes in it's own case (not the best quality, but should be usable for a while).I like the fact that they have a tiny rubber part to protect the pointy/sharp end. Makes sense, and it is this extra care that you realize the people in charge know what they are doing and know their products (probably use their own products).It seems well built: smooth metal, strong, large ring, great weld, evenly painted (compared with other competing augers I ordered which suffer in many of those criteria).I do recommend this auger bit.
