K&S K & S Precision Metals 87167 028x1x12 SS Strip

As of mid May 2019, the Amazon page title for this product states that it is 0.028 inches thick, which is approximately (slightly over) 7 mm. The actual item is closer to 6 mm thick (0.025 inches) per the label. This is a difference of just over 10% in thickness between the Amazon item title and what you actually get. Other dimensions are as described, as well as I can measure using a ruler. I intend to use this steel as part of a magnetic mount, and the hold strength will depend in part on the thickness of the piece. While I'm going to move forward with my project regardless and see whether it works, I'm disappointed that the Amazon page title doesn't accurately describe the item. I also agree with other reviews that express concerns over item packaging: this was shipped to me in a bubble envelope. However, this seems somewhat forgivable considering the current price, which is roughly equal to a few cans of soda from a machine (I'd feel differently if I paid extra for expedited shipping and it arrived in the same packaging).Focusing on the positives: both pieces that I ordered arrived in excellent condition. The finish is nice and smooth, and the item is drawn to magnets as 430 stainless should be.

The seller did not disclose this is ferritic stainless steel, i.e., it's ferromagnetic. I naively assumed this would be the more common type 304 stainless steel, i.e., non-magnetic stainless steel. Bottom line, if you're looking for non-magnetic stainless steel, this is not it - but if you want something to hold all of your refrigerator magnets (besides your refrigerator), this should work just fine.

The K&S Material itself is fine but the seller shipped it in a flexible plastic envelope. Needless to say, it arrived with a large bend in the middle making it useless.Find a different seller who know how to ship in a cardboard box or tube!

Strip of Aluminum is as advertised and seems quality, However it arrived worthless as it was shipping in a padded envelope and arrived folded in half. My project is small enough I may manage to salvage the aluminum that need from this folded over piece.

Good product but not protected during shipping, thus arrived slightly bend. I was still able to use it but seller may consider attaching it to wood during transportation or to ship it in a sturdy box rather than envelope only.
