Does this leave flakes when you brush it out later?

It doesn’t. The main reason I like this product is because it doesn’t leave your hair crunchy, and there are no flakes.

I just ordered some a month or so ago, and it was still the same as before. Very runny.

Really depends upon how much you use. I've been using it for years and it gives me just the amount of shine and hold I want for my short hair. Absolute best price is on Amazon! Really love the stuff!!
