Raw Creation: Outsider Art and Beyond

In spite of having an amazing outsider art production we don't have so much discussions about this subject in the Brazilian artistic scenery.So, this book is very important to me. It has a very beautiful presentation and shows the most important artists that represent this movement as Dubuffet, the Art Brut collection in Lausanne or Ferdinand Cheval works and Neck Chand spetacular gardens and figurines. And it is particularly interesting to know what is going on outside USA and Europe.

The book focuses on the famous Outsider Artists and their personal history. Nice reproductions.

Great book on Art Brut

Good book. In my art, I set out to do fine art---it wants to be folk art, I don't mind. Raw is why some people don't prize their art-----they haven't armor against the bias for what art is "sposed to be".

Book doesn't have the cover but at the same time at the pages were there. Came on time and didn't have to wait long

"Raw Creation" is an amazing book on some many levels. I loved the art of self-taught people in the second half. I also learned about Art Brut and Dubuffet.

Bought this for a college class on Outsider Art. Great book and great topic. Easy to read and understand, but very insightful.

Great book, but arrived with jacket stick to the cardboard packaging and bent plus marked. Not great as this is a birthday present for someone.Not happy. No time to replace.
