GE WD08X10032 Genuine OEM Tub Gasket for GE Dishwashers

Fits properly and seals very well. Don't buy a lower cost "equivalent". I did and had to return it.

Seals well. No leakage. Easy to install.

It's easy to replace the older part and my GE dishwasher looks new now. Hopefully it would last as same as the original one or longer.

Didnt work for me...Correct part but this new version of it does not have holes at either end of the gasket to insert the retainer spring into.

Remove lower rack. Remove old seal starting at the top center and pulling out. There is a wire spring retainer at the bottom that you can pull out and detach. Clean the groove with scotch brite to remove any debris. Fold replacement in half and mark the center with your thumb. Press into the top center of the groove. Press in place to each corner. Now align the bottom on each side and press in to place so that the seal extends to the end of the channel leaving the trimmed tail at a 90 degree angle on the tub bottom. Work towards the top pressing into the channel. Do this on both sides. Verify the seal is seated all the way around. Insert the spring clip with the bump side up into each seal and seat at the bottom of the door. Optional- apply a small dab of rubber-safe plumber oring/valve grease to the portions of the seal that contact the top and bottom slide out racks. Run a test cycle and test for leaks.

My dishwasher's door was leaking, so I needed a new seal for it. Took me 10 minutes to put it in, and is as good as new. They don't make good dishwashers like this anymore. Glad GE/Haier is still backing their 20+ year old products.

I suppose it is genuine GE considering the way the product is presented. The part arrives in a unmarked package beside a Amazon packaging tag. The part is clearly not the quality of the oringal rubber gasket. If it is geninue, looks like GE went with a foam like rubber and reduced the quality. If I did again, I would probably go with a lower cost product but hard to return and wait when you have a leaking dishwasher.

Had to replace the original door gasket due to an accidental knife cut while loading. This gasket comes in GE packaging and was installed in less than 10 minutes including time to a clean out of the groove that the gasket is pushed into. Very easy install, attaches perfectly to the springs at the bottom of the door and just pushes into place. No cutting required for my dishwasher model. The gasket is slightly different material than the original, it is more like automotive gasket material often found around car door windows. I actually think it made my already quite GE Profile dishwasher even quieter. No drips. Great purchase as it was half the price on Amazon that it would have been to order it through an appliance store. Fast free delivery too.
